FC Cincinnati Stats & History
FC Cincinnati was founded in 2015 as a USL, or American second division, club. They first played in the USL in 2016 and broke the single-game attendance USL record soon after. They would go on to break the record three more times during the season.
On the field, FC Cincinnati made the USL playoffs but lost in the quarterfinals. The next season, they knocked MLS teams Columbus Crew and Chicago Fire out of the U.S. Open Cup. Cincinnati made it to the semifinals and held a 2-0 lead vs. New York Red Bulls but lost 3-2.
In the middle of their 2018 USL season, it was announced that Cincinnati would become an MLS expansion team for 2019. If there were promotion/relegation it would have happened anyway. That’s because they finished as the regular season champions of the USL, the only trophy in the FC Cincinnati team stats.
In their first MLS season, Cincinnati had three different coaches and struggled heavily. They finished in last place in the Eastern Conference and had the worst record in the MLS. The 2020 season wasn’t much better, unfortunately. They registered just 12 goals in the Cincinnati team stats and once again finished with the worst record in the league.

FC Cincinnati Team Records
After playing at Nippert Stadium for two MLS seasons, FC Cincinnati moved into the soccer-specific TQL Stadium in 2021. They also made the third-most expensive transfer in MLS history, by bringing in Brazilian forward Brenner.=
Despite the excitement, the on-field product was more of the same. Cincinnati finished with the league’s worst record for a third consecutive season. They did manage to score more than a goal per game for the first time in their MLS history, though.
Midway through the 2022 season, FC Cincinnati was in contention for a playoff spot for the first time ever. The MLS odds also priced forward Brandon Vazquez at +2500 to be the league’s top scorer. Under coach Pat Noonan, Cincinnati is scoring more than they ever have before. Betting advice implies this is a team on the rise and one that could improve as the season and years go on.
