The stars of the PGA Tour are back as Rory McIlroy headlines the 2022 CJ Cup odds this week. It has been a slow few weeks for the PGA Tour, but with the likes of McIlroy, Rahm, Scheffler, and Thomas back on deck, we couldn’t be more excited.
McIlroy to the Top
McIlroy can secure the top spot in the world with a CJ Cup win. He won this event last year, which gave him his 20th PGA Tour win.
The Northern Irishman has been in the limelight recently due to his comments about the LIV Tour, but he’s focused on the big tournaments and putting himself in positions to win every week.
“I’ve no doubt in my mind if I keep playing the golf that I’m playing currently, I’ll have a lot more chances to win major championships,” McIlroy told BBC.com. “The more I put myself in position to win, the more comfortable I’m going to feel in that position and ultimately I’m going to step through the door and get another one.
“At the end of the day, the world rankings are an algorithm that the computer throws out every Monday but if you play well enough, it all takes care of itself.”
2022 CJ Cup odds have McIlroy at the top of the market at +750, which is a fair price. His PGA Championship odds are usually around that mark, especially against a field of this nature.
Superstar Kim to Bounce Back

The career of Tom Kim has been brief but the South Korean has already made a huge impact on world golf.
When he won the Shriners Hospitals Open by three shots, he paid out bettors at a handsome price. Kim earned his second PGA Tour victory after Patrick Cantlay triple-bogeyed the 18th hole, and although he wasn’t at his best last week, he could bounce back.
The 20-year-old has a much tougher field this time around, but he proved himself at the Presidents Cup and can compete with players like McIlroy and Scheffler.
“It’s really amazing. A few months ago I didn’t have any status in the U.S. and now being a two-time winner on tour, having that place with Tiger (Woods), it’s an unbelievable feeling for me,” Kim said.
“It’s an honor and definitely a dream come true. I’ve worked really hard. My team has worked really hard to this point and I’m just really grateful. I’m having fun playing on the PGA Tour.”

Return of the Mac?
Even though Tommy Fleetwood is one of the top golfers in the world, the Englishman has not yet achieved a PGA Tour victory.
The 31-year-old hasn’t transferred his success to the PGA Tour despite five victories on the European Tour and five top-five finishes in majors.
At the Zozo Championship, he wasn’t at his best, but earlier this year, he placed T4 at the Open Championship, and with a similar performance, he should do well at Congaree Golf Club.
2022 CJ Cup odds have Fleetwood at +6000, which is a ridiculous price. He has the game to beat the best players in the world.
