Getting Into the EPL Odds

English Premier League (EPL) is one of the most popular soccer leagues globally.  The league is contested by 20 teams, with the top 4 qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. The bottom three teams are relegated to the Championship, while the winner of the Championship is promoted to EPL. 

There is a lot of competition for the title this year, with six teams being considered serious contenders. Manchester City and Liverpool are the favorites, but don’t count out Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United. What to Watch for in EPL Odds

The English Premier League odds are always changing, so you’ll want to watch them throughout the soccer season; be sure to check out the EPL schedule. Look at implied probability. Always go with the bookmaker with the best odds for the team you think will win. 

Second, check out the handicap betting. This is where one team is given a head start and is typically used when one team is significantly better than the other. Third, look at the over/under bets. This is how many goals will be scored in total.

How to Read EPL Odds

EPL point spreads are presented as either positive or negative numbers. The number beside the plus or minus sign is the amount of money you would win if you bet on the team using the EPL odds provided.

EPL Betting Odds Example

A good example of how to bet on EPL using Manchester City: betting on -150 means that for every $100 you bet, you would only win $50. On the other hand, betting on Manchester City +120 would get you $120 for every $100 you bet.

Manchester United -110 means that for every $110 you bet, you would only win $100. However, if you bet on Manchester United +105, you would win $105 for every $100 you bet.
