What is certain is that Arsenal’s biggest rivals, Tottenham, will do their best to make the Gunners’ lives hell on Sunday. The stakes have rarely been higher in the North London Derby as Arsenal chase the EPL title and Tottenham chase Champions League qualification. Stay tuned for our Tottenham vs Arsenal tips and the odds.

Head-to-Head

The road team has struggled to get EPL results in this fixture. Our Tottenham vs Arsenal tips and the odds will reflect that the road team has won just one of the last 19 North London Derbies. That was last season, when Arsenal defeated Tottenham 2-0 thanks to a Hugo Lloris own goal and a strike from Martin Odegaard.

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last three matches vs. Tottenham but drew 2-2 last September at the Emirates. While Arsenal have lost just one of the last six meetings, they’ve lost three of the last four at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Face Challenging Remaining Schedule

Tottenham were scheduled to play Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend but the match was postponed because City took on Chelsea in the FA Cup Semifinal. So, Spurs last played two weekends ago, when they fell 4-0 at St. James’ Park to Newcastle. Tottenham didn’t create many good chances, despite dominating possession, and they were incredibly unstable defensively.

Micky van de Ven had a difficult match and the center back was beaten on two of Newcastle’s goals. Tottenham’s remaining EPL fixtures are incredibly difficult, as they take on all of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City in their remaining six games. Currently, fifth-placed Tottenham are six points behind Aston Villa for the last Champions League spot. Tottenham do have two games in hand, though. Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs have also won their last three Premier League games at home and eight of their last nine.

Tottenham have also managed to get on the scoresheet in every home match they’ve played this season in the EPL. Since Harry Kane’s departure last Summer, Son Heung-min has been the main man for Spurs. The South Korean international has scored 15 goals and provided nine assists this season. However, he’s only managed one goal contribution in his last five games. For Sunday’s North London Derby, Destiny Udogie, Ryan Sessegnon, and Manor Solomon are out. Meanwhile, Richarlison and Pedro Porro are listed as questionable.

Arsenal on Road Clean Sheet Streak

Arsenal grabbed their biggest ever win over Chelsea on Tuesday as the Gunners won 5-0. Mikel Arteta’s side moved four points clear of Manchester City but City closed the gap to one point on Thursday. Kai Havertz scored twice against his former team, Ben White also scored twice and Martin Odegaard put in a man of the match performance. It was a statement win from Arsenal, who had also defeated Wolves 2-0 on the road last Saturday.

With that win, Arsenal became just the third team in Premier League history to record six straight road shutouts. Arteta will be hoping his players continue that streak on Sunday and grab all three points. As Manchester City have a game in hand on Arsenal, the Gunners likely need to win out. Entering the weekend, Arsenal have both scored the most and conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League this season.

Wolves coach Gary O’Neil recently called Arsenal’s center backs Gabriel and William Saliba “incredible”. Right back White and goalkeeper David Raya have also been standouts on the defensive side of the ball. Arsenal missed their opportunity to win the title last season by blowing a lead to Man City. Now, they’re looking to avoid those same mistakes and Sunday will be a huge test.

Match Analysis & Odds

Before we discuss our Tottenham vs Arsenal tips & the odds, we should note that Jurrien Timber is Arsenal’s only absentee here. Thomas Partey started in midfield on Tuesday alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, who blew away Chelsea’s midfield trio. James Maddison is back for Spurs in attacking midfield, but he hasn’t looked like himself since returning from an injury.

He hasn’t scored or assisted in any of his last five games. Here, the Premier League odds price Arsenal as -125 favorites. Meanwhile, Tottenham are +285 home underdogs, and a draw sits at +310. Given Arsenal’s defensive prowess and road clean sheet streak, we like Tottenham under 1.5 goals at -165 odds and up to -175.

We also think this could be a low-scoring affair, like Arsenal’s match at Wolves last weekend. Under 3, 3.5 goals is an enticing pick. Tottenham haven’t played a team as strong as Arsenal for quite some time, and their lack of considerable game experience could hurt them here. We wouldn’t recommend going for Tottenham +0.5 at +105.
