Collazo vs Diagam odds suggest current champion Oscar Collazo will be too tough for challenger Garen Diagam in Puerto Rico this weekend.
Collazo has had a much more demanding boxing schedule, and according to the latest boxing news, his camp has been excellent.
However, there is always room for an upset in the strawweight boxing ranks.

Money for Collazo
The 26-year-old American has been heavily backed with Collazo vs Diagan odds.
He is the current -2500 favorite, about as short as it gets for boxing events. However, despite his short odds, bettors should look at prop bets for the best value with Collazo.
He showed his prowess when he clinched the WBO title against Melvin Jerusalem. Displaying his full talent, he secured a victory through a retired knockout decision after Round 7, with Jerusalem unable to continue.
Collazo won’t be frightened by the prospect of fighting Diagam, who has faced many lower-quality opponents. However, he is giving him respect.
“I think it’s an exciting fight, he comes from the Philippines, where a lot of good boxers come from, and they come to fight,” Collazo said. “I know that in his last two bouts, he has upset the favorite and won. He’s coming in with nothing to lose and I think it’s going to be a great fight.
“It’s going to be an action-packed fight. I’m going to demonstrate my skills and my I.Q in the ring as always and put on a show in front of my fans.”
Boxing markets have Collazo at -400 to win by knockout. There is no value in his moneyline odds, but -400 is worth taking.
He should win the early rounds and force Diagam to go head-hunting, making him vulnerable.
Any Support for Diagam?
We can’t imagine there will be much support for the challenger with Collazo vs Diagam odds.
Ranked 11th in the global strawweight rankings, Diagan cannot be entirely dismissed as an overwhelming underdog.
However, his 10-3 record reveals significant weaknesses, primarily stemming from bouts against less skilled opponents, where he struggled to beat them convincingly.
The 27-year-old faced a string of defeats in 2022, succumbing first to April Abne via knockout, followed by a unanimous decision loss to an 11-3 fighter, who would be a +5000 underdog against Collazo.
His performance since those losses hasn’t been bad, and he achieved a TKO victory over a seasoned 20-6 fighter, before securing a split decision win against Huu Toan Le, who boasted an undefeated record of 6-0.
Diagan lacks the credentials to warrant participation in a WBO title bout. His main goal in the 12-round fight might be to emerge without suffering a knockout defeat, which isn’t the mindset you want.

We can’t turn down the -400 for Collazo to win by knockout. He is a much better fighter, and Diagam doesn’t stand much of a chance.
We always like to give the underdog the benefit of the doubt that he’ll go the distance, but Collazo wants to make sure of his first title defense.
Don’t get us started on boxing judging decisions, so if he wants to take that out of the equation, he should be looking for the big blow.
Bettors get reasonable odds for the KO victory, and that’s the only option we can entertain.
