At 6-3, Hoffenheim have been one of the Bundesliga’s better teams this campaign, ending Stuttgart’s winning streak last weekend.

This Bundesliga top-six matchup figures to be an exciting one, and if these teams’ recent matches are any indication, it could be a goal fest. We’ll preview the Hoffenheim vs Leverkusen odds ahead of one of the Bundesliga’s best matches of the weekend.

Head-to-Head:

This is the first opportunity to bet on the Hoffenheim vs Leverkusen odds in the 2023-24 campaign. Notably, Bayer Leverkusen have lost just one of their last six matches vs. Hoffenheim and are 2-3-1 during that time. Last season, the road team won both matches. Surprisingly, the road team has lost just three of the last 12 meetings. A look at the German Bundesliga standings shows that Leverkusen have finished above Hoffenheim in five straight seasons.

Hoffenheim Draw Blank on Wednesday

On Wednesday, Hoffenheim failed to score for the first time this soccer season. They fell 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal and had an excellent first half chance that Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck cleared off the line. Hoffenheim tried to weather the storm, but a relentless Dortmund side scored just before halftime.

Dortmund outshot Hoffenheim 22-6 on Wednesday, but Hoffenheim did manage to beat Stuttgart 3-2 in the Bundesliga last weekend. Granted, Stuttgart were missing Serhou Guirassy, who is the Bundesliga’s leading scorer. The Bundesliga betting lines priced visiting Hoffenheim at +285 odds as they picked up their sixth win from nine matches.

Striker Andrej Kramaric has missed the last few Bundesliga matches for Hoffenheim but could potentially return to the lineup on Saturday. In the meantime, Maximilian Beier has played well given extended minutes and is Hoffenheim’s leading scorer, with six Bundesliga goals. Due to injuries, Dennis Geiger, Pavel Kaderabek, and Florian Grillitsch are all expected to miss this match.

Bayer Leverkusen Mean Business

Bayer Leverkusen head into the weekend on a nine-game winning streak, in all competitions. On Wednesday, they defeated third-tier SV Sandhausen in the DFB-Pokal 5-2. Last weekend, Leverkusen also grabbed their Bundesliga-leading eighth win of the season by defeating SC Freiburg, 2-1. Florian Wirtz scored an outrageous solo goal to open up the scoring, which showed why he’s one of the brightest young talents in world football.

Wirtz also started a move that led to Jonas Hofmann’s second-half goal. Freiburg got a goal back, but Leverkusen managed to control the game and cruise to another win. A look at the Leverkusen standings shows that they’re leading the Bundesliga. Leverkusen have been Bundesliga runners-up five times but have never won the league.

Coach Xabi Alonso and this excellent group of players has fans believing that they can win their first title this season. Bayer Leverkusen’s three leading scorers in the Bundesliga are all new signings. Victor Boniface has scored seven times already, Hofmann has added five, and left back Alex Grimaldo has scored three times. Incredibly, Leverkusen have gotten on the scoresheet at least twice in every single match they’ve played this season.

Match Analysis & Odds

Bayer Leverkusen are going for a tenth straight win here, and betting against them this season has been a fool’s errand. The Hoffenheim vs Leverkusen odds price the visitors as -165 favorites heading into Saturday’s match. Leverkusen are the Bundesliga’s only team on a five-game winning streak, and they’ve outscored their opponents 14-3 during that time.

Bettors should note that Hoffenheim, +360 underdogs, have only kept one clean sheet this Bundesliga season. Also, both teams have scored in eight of their nine Bundesliga games. Unsurprisingly, over 3.5 goals sit at -120 odds for this one, and Leverkusen have often been going over that total by themselves this season.

Hoffenheim, who are only 1-3 at home this season, show -115 odds to cover the one-goal spread. Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen -1 displays -105 odds. Two of the last five meetings between these teams have finished in draws, and one is priced at +380 here.
