World No.1 Tops 2024 American Express Odds
Top Players Return to PGA

2024 American Express odds are out for the next PGA Tour tournament where Scottie Scheffler headlines.
The American is looking to win in January for the first time in his career, but he’s a popular pick at +550 to beat the likes of Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.
It’s a tournament that can boost your year, so the pro golfers are desperate to win.

Scheffler to Break Duck
We’ll keep saying it till we’re blue in the face; Scheffler has yet to win a PGA Tour tournament outside of February, March, and April.
It’s a risk backing Scheffler with PGA Tour odds, but he’s the best player in the tournament, so he’s hard to ignore.
Bettors might want to wait until the Phoenix Open or The Players Championship, but he’s worth a nibble at the +550 odds.
He only needs to start putting better to win, and although that’s not an easy ask for golfers, he’s the best in the world for a reason.
La Quinta is a golf course that should suit one of the best ball strikers in the world, and he won’t have many excuses.
He was in contention for most of the Tournament of Champions two weeks ago, which should act as a good form guide, and his 2024 American Express odds are worth taking.
Schauffele is Due
It always feels like Xander Schauffele is within striking distance of winning every tournament, but he rarely gets it done.
He’s still a prolific winner on tour, but he should have won more often. However, that could change this week at the American Express.
He comes off a T10 finish at the Tournament of Champions, and he’s often in the top 10 with the PGA Championship leaderboard.
The 30-year-old owns seven wins, including the Tour Championship in 2017. We’re not sure how he hasn’t won a major, having posted 11 top-10 finishes, but 2024 could be the year for Schauffele.
He’s on the third line of betting with 2024 American Express odds, and we’re not leaving him out of our golf selections.
Tee Off for Thomas
Justin Thomas guttered to miss the Tournament of Champions, mostly because he didn’t win in 2023.
It was a terrible year for the former top-level player, and we’re not sure why his form went off the rails so badly.
However, class is permanent, and Thomas could spring back into action this week at the American Express.
2024 could be make or break for Thomas, who is keeping a positive attitude.
“I learned a lot this past season,” Thomas said. “No. 1 thing is things are never as bad as people make them out to be. At times I was just a couple putts, shots, swings here and there away from at least having a chance of making a run in the Playoffs. But it’s a fine line out here.”
He is a golfer who will always be well-supported with PGA odds, and the +2200 is worth including on your ticket.
It’s only a matter of time before Thomas gets back to his best.
Value with Finau
Tony Finau is a top golfer, so we’re surprised by his odds of +3500.
He is always around the top of the leaderboard, and he’s a prolific PGA Tour winner, so there’s no reason to bet against him.
With six wins on his record, he demands respect, and although those wins usually come later in the year, he’s fit and ready to fire.
Finau is better for the last two weeks in Hawaii. He didn’t show his best last week, but he doesn’t dwell on a poor result. Given his odds, we’re happy to pick him to win.
