What to Make of the Pelicans
We’re not sure what to make of the Pelicans, who are still in the hunt with NBA Championship odds.
They have a good winning record despite some recent blemishes, so we’re trying not to be too harsh, but we think they’re a middle of the road team.
Dropping consecutive games to the Heat and Bulls isn’t ideal form, especially when taking on another Eastern Conference team on Wednesday night.
They had a solid lead against the Bulls, before allowing them back in the game.
“That segment definitely swung the moment a bit, but it came down to us,” Pelicans coach Willie Green said. “We turned the ball over, not giving ourselves to come down and run good offense. They’re getting out in transition and getting easy baskets.”

He’s a talented scorer, and if he can lift his scoring average from 21.5 to around 25 PPG, he would be a more dynamic player.
We think he’s due a big game, so expect a top effort from the Pacers most important player.
