Spurs Eye Rare Consecutive Wins vs Hornets

Hornets vs Spurs Odds Favor Home Side

The San Antonio Spurs haven’t won many games, but they won their last, and now they face the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.

Hornets vs Spurs odds have the Spurs at -3, so a close game is expected between the struggling franchises.

No Sting for Hornets

With an 8-27 record, there is little to be excited about when supporting the Hornets.

They may have scored a 111-104 win over the Kings last week, but they followed it up with three consecutive losses.

We’re not sure what to make of them. They have a solid enough roster to beat some of the better teams, but there is a losing culture in Charlotte, and bettors tend to stay away.

They have a 14-21 against the spread record, and little chance of making an impact on playoffs standings NBA.

Terry Rozier is a bright light with 24.3 points per game, but he’s not getting much help. Having scored just 98 points against the Kings in their last outing, it’s tough to find any reason to have confidence in them.

Hornets vs Spurs odds have them at +1, simply because they’re playing an NBA team with fewer wins. However, they’re playing a team with significantly more upside, and that’s a pivotal point to make.

San Antonio Spurred On

There was a sense of delight, or relief, for the Spurs when beating a terrible Detroit outfit 130-108.

It wasn’t the blockbuster game fans had imagined, but with only six wins on the board, every victory must be celebrated.

They now have a chance to win consecutive games for the first time in forever. With only two wins at home, it’s tough to find positives for the Spurs, but they’re playing a team in Charlotte that has no confidence.

Victor Wembanyama is playing well in his rookie season. He averages 19.2 PPG and 10.2 rebounds and is one of the NBA block leaders.

We love watching him play, and although he’s very green and only average guarding, he’ll only improve with more game time under his belt.

We’re not surprised to see Hornets vs Spurs odds favor the home side. Scoring 130 points against the Pistons was a good effort, and it should give them confidence to kick on with the job.

Spurs in a High Scoring Affair

We’re confidently backing the Spurs to win in front of their home fans, who continue to turn up despite their terrible form.

That’s what one player can do to a franchise, but scoring back-to-back wins would be massive for this struggling franchise.

Getting a -1 line with NBA odds is fair from the sportsbook, and we also think it will be high-scoring. The Hornets and Spurs have no interest in getting back on defense, and open shots will be available throughout the game.

The total is 236, which is high, but they’re good enough to score plenty of points at Frost Bank Center.
