College Football National Championship Odds Preview
Georgia Overwhelming Favorite to Win Fourth National Championship

Of all the College Football bowl games this season, these next three games are what most of the country will be focused on. It’s been a difficult season for bettors who have had to navigate key players heading for the NFL or their next college of choice.
What the public has seen for three months no longer applies to most games. With College Football betting odds getting turned upside down, we’re here to try and make sense of it all by giving you the skinny and selections on both playoff games, along with our thoughts on the National Championship.Â

Hard to Turn Down the Dog
If you’re going to give us a TCU offense that can score at will and 7 ½ points, we’re afraid that’s going to be a difficult number to turn down at the Fiesta Bowl. Turnovers often tell the story of who eventually wins games where both teams are evenly matched, but this may just come down to who has the biggest day on the ground because neither TCU QB Max Duggan nor Michigan signal caller JJ McCarthy is turnover prone which is why both teams are playing for a shot at a National Championship.
With TCU averaging over 40 points a game, Duggan is a multi-purpose quarterback who was close to winning the Big 12 Title Game by himself, averaging seven yards per rush, in addition to throwing for 251 yards in their OT loss to the Kansas State Wildcats.
Although it doesn’t appear to be much of a factor, the Michigan Wolverines will be without their top running back Blake Corum after undergoing knee surgery. Donovan Edwards has proven to be more than capable, but still a blow to the Wolverines’ depth. Edwards who has played with a cast on his dominant hand was sensational against Purdue and Ohio State to end the NCAAF season.
We’re taking the points here but Michigan rolls on as McCarthy carves up the TCU secondary.
Let’s continue our College Football National Championship odds preview by swinging over to the other semi-final in the Peach Bowl.Â

Time to Forget the Past
The residue from the thrashing that Ohio State Buckeyes took from Michigan to end the season is still fresh. For bettors, they know they clear their minds of that game because every match-up is a clean slate. The college football bowl season is different with coaches having plenty of time to solidify a defense that has given up 75 points in their last two games.
We can’t overlook the fact that Ohio State was still the 11th-best defense in the country, and in reality, the 30 points they gave up against the Maryland Terrapins was a result of OSU dumping 43 on the Terps. They would have never given up that many points if the offense wasn’t constantly giving the ball back after a score.
“Maryland scored 17 points in the fourth quarter in an otherwise easy game for Ohio State. The Michigan game was the first time they didn’t bounce back after a game where they gave up 21 or more points. We will take the team whose defensive integrity has been questioned for weeks.”
Expect the Georgia Bulldogs to win, but OSU DC Jim Knowles will do just enough to clever the number.
We conclude our early look at the College Football National Championship odds preview by giving you our early title winner.Â

Money on Wolverines is Worth a Shot
We have options as our College Football National Championship odds preview comes to an end. The idea with this selection is to get the team with less wear and tear on them, and with Georgia and Ohio State battling in the Fiesta Bowl, Michigan has the more likely chance to come out the fresher of the four teams.
With Georgia, the overwhelming favorite at -130, the Wolverines’ number sits at a juicy +300. If you want to really get tricky, bet both TCU (+1800) and Michigan to win a championship, guaranteeing a financial interest in the championship game. If TCU gets past Michigan, then you have a guaranteed profit after hedging off that bet some.
