Will Florida Get Star Forward Barkov Back for the Home Date with Arizona?

Arizona looks to make it three wins in a row when the Coyotes begin a three-game road trip against reigning Eastern Conference champion Florida. The Panthers are listed by the Arizona vs Florida NHL betting preview as the favorite against the Coyotes for the sixth time in a row.

Florida has won five of the last six games against Arizona, with only one of those matchups being decided by one goal.

Florida, which hasn’t been listed by the NHL odds as an underdog at home against Arizona since 2014, is priced at -286 to continue its winning ways versus the Coyotes. Taking Arizona at +1.5 might be a smart option.

Regarding the potential NHL playoffs schedule, Florida would face Toronto in the first round, while Arizona is two games out of the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Keller Lighting It Up for Arizona

Clayton Keller doesn’t get much national exposure due to playing for the Coyotes in the smallest arena in the NHL. However, the former first-round pick scored two of the three goals in a recent win over Nashville and had an assist in Arizona’s 5-2 win versus Pittsburgh.

When looking at the Coyotes vs Panthers NHL betting preview, Arizona is 8-2-1 in the last 11 games when Keller records a point compared to a 2-7 mark when he doesn’t have either a goal or an assist.

Keller has already tied his career-high with six power-play goals.

Florida allowed one goal in three of the first four games of 2024 as the Panthers were threatening to take over first place in the Atlantic Division from the Boston Bruins.

While the recent results have been somewhat mediocre for Florida, especially in its own end of the ice, it’s pretty hard to pick visiting Arizona to go on the road and beat the favored Panthers.
