Recent Form Favors Winnipeg
Tonight’s NHL match-up with Dallas is for the top spot in the division, but there is no doubt which team will come in with a better recent resume.
On the back of a couple of OT wins, the Winnipeg Jets have won four straight games and seven of their last eight. During the streak, they have shown they can win a defensive game or a shootout after averaging four goals per game in their last six games.

The Stars have lost six of their last seven games after dropping a showdown against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday (5-1).
With just over 20 games to go, this is as close to a must-win for Dallas as they’ve had all season. The reason for this is the four games in hand the Jets have over the Stars, but because Dallas has the second easiest remaining schedule while Winnipeg has one of the most difficult paths to the postseason.
These two have two games remaining head-to-head. Dallas is in the red for bettors this season, with 4.29 units lost. As a favorite, the Stars are 33-20 (0.70 units) and 17-12 as a home favorite (-3.28 units).
