A Storm is Brewing at Red Bull
The fallout from allegations against team principal Christian Horner has left the squad shaken, with internal power struggles and uncertainty about the future direction of the team.
This caused F1 rumors to arise from the beginning of the season about Verstappen’s departure from Red Bull.
Despite recent attempts by Red Bull to quell speculation, rumors persist regarding Max Verstappen’s future with the team.
While his contract extends until 2028, there are reports of a clause allowing him to leave if advisor Helmut Marko departs. Whether Marko remains with the team is yet to be seen.
For Mercedes, the timing couldn’t be better. With Lewis Hamilton poised to move to Ferrari, the Brackley-based outfit sees Verstappen as the perfect replacement.
