PA Gaming Control Board Issues Fines to Gambling Providers
Stakelogic Was Fined $22,500 While TA Operating $5,000, Each for Different Infractions

Ensuring Lawful Gambling
Alright folks, hold onto your chips because we got some betting news from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). The PGCB is cracking down and two big players just got slapped with some serious fines.
Stakelogic, USA and TA Operating, LLC are feeling the burn after being hit with a total of $27,500 each for separate rule infractions. Ouch!
First up, we’ve got Stakelogic taking the lion’s share of the fine, a whopping $22,500 to be exact. Turns out, they forgot to give PGCB the heads up about a change in their majority shareholding.
Talk about a rookie mistake, especially considering they’ve only been in the game for less than a month! CEO Stephan van den Oetelaar owned up to the blunder, promising it won’t happen again.
But wait, there’s more! TA Operating, also known as TravelCenters of America, got slapped with a $5,000 fine for dropping the ball on surveillance at one of their Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) spots.
Apparently, their surveillance game was about as tight as a leaky faucet, leaving the gaming area vulnerable and unmonitored. It is because of these things that betting online is sometimes a better option.
Now, paying fines is never fun, but in this case, it’s well-deserved. If we want the gambling industry to keep on rollin’ and stay safe and fun for everyone, these operators gotta step up and play by the rules.
And hey, it’s not just fines on the line here. The PGCB is also keeping a close eye on adults who leave minors unattended at casinos. In various Pennsylvania casinos, there have been repeated instances of adults leaving children unattended in cars while they gamble.
This irresponsible behavior has occurred multiple times across different locations, with incidents including leaving kids alone in vehicles for extended periods, regardless of extreme temperatures outside.
Seriously, what’s up with the folks over in Pennsylvania? I mean, I get it, sports betting can be a blast, but leaving kids unattended in cars while you hit the tables? That’s just plain reckless. If you don’t have a babysitter then try online gambling from home and everyone will be happy.
So, what’s the takeaway from all this? Well, if you’re in the gambling game, play by the rules or risk getting busted.
And if you’re a parent, remember to keep an eye on your little ones–after all, nobody wants to see them left alone in a sweltering car while you chase that jackpot. Stay safe out there, folks, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
