Who Can Take Down OpTic Texas?
OpTic Texas continues its dominance through the CDL 2023 Stage 4 Major qualifiers. If they keep this run-up, they will be the favorites in the CDL 2023 Stage 4 Major. However, four teams are all tied for fifth place and can quickly jump to the top four. On the other side of the table, LAG and Florida Mutineers have yet to win a single match and look worse than they have all season.
Week three of the CDL 2023 Stage 4 Major Qualifiers could be the decider for any of the teams before the Stage 4 Major. So let’s dive into the last week of qualifiers.
Tournament Standings and Format
Activision split the CDL 2023 Stage 4 Major qualifiers three weeks before the Stage 3 Major started back in March. As a result, each of the twelve teams will play against each other once and play five games. After that, every team will qualify for the Stage 4 Major in Columbus, but they will be seeded depending on how many points they earn. Teams will earn 10 CDL points for every win.

The battle for the top four starts with Atlanta FaZe taking on the Minnesota RØKKR on Friday. Depending on the other matches around them, the loser of this match could fall down the table very quickly. Atlanta has the stronger squad on paper, but the Minnesota RØKKR have been consistent since the last Major. So our bet would be on Minnesota at +!
Boston Breach (+) vs OpTic Texas (+)
OpTic Texas has been one of the best teams in the CDL 2023 season. They’ve even outperformed the likes of Atlanta FaZe and LA Thieves! However, Boston Breach has quietly been rising through the ranks and is improving after each Major. OpTic Texas is the favorite for this tie, but our bet would be on Boston Breach to get the surprise result.
Minnesota RØKKR (+) vs LA Thieves (+)
This week is all about Minnesota RØKKR! This time they take on a strong LA Thieves side who are fresh off a loss to OpTic Texas. They could jump LA Thieves with a win, depending on how the RØKKR do in their first match. However, LA will look to redeem itself after suffering that loss and hope to jump in first. This matchup could go either way, but our bet is on LA Thieves.
