PGA: Homa Headlines Shriners Children’s Open Odds
Next Stop On PGA Tour
Max Homa has been well-backed to win with Shriners Children’s Open odds, which tees off at TPC Summerlin this week. However, he’ll need to get past the likes of Patrick Cantlay to win his sixth PGA Tour victory. It’s an open betting market but our confidence is with Homa, who showed his class at the President’s Cup.
Max Homing in on Win
With two victories this year, the 31-year-old is in the greatest shape of his career and might add a third to his tally.
Since 2019, he has won five times on the PGA Tour, including doubles at the Wells Fargo and Fortinet Championships.
Despite an average majors record, including eight missed cuts from 13 attempts, Homa has developed well and is quite confident in his ability. That showed at the President’s Cup when going unbeaten in four matches.
“I just wanted to leave a mark of resiliency. I thought that would be who I am. Some people are great at hitting a 7-iron. Some people are great at putting. I’m gonna be the toughest guy you’ve ever met,” Homa said.
He has been able to ignore the criticism and is doing well on the course, so we believe he has a decent chance of winning the Shriners Childen’s Open at generous odds.
His Shriners Children’s Open odds of +1600 is an excellent price for the form golfer in the field.
His Shriners Children’s Open odds of +1600 is an excellent price for the form golfer in the field. We thought he would be around +1200 behind Cantlay to win, so we’re snapping up the value.
Fan Club with Kim
Tom Kim isn’t a household name but the South Korean has a legion of fans after a heroic President’s Cup effort.
He defeated Sangjae Im and John Huh to win the 2022 Wyndham Championship by five strokes, so he’s in fantastic form and capable of adding another triumph to his record.
He also placed 23rd at the U.S. Open, demonstrating his ability to perform admirably under pressure even at the age of 20.
Kim is a raw talent with 10 professional victories globally, and PGA Tour odds haven’t overlooked him. He’s a +2200 chance with bookmakers and that’s worth taking against an even betting field.
McNealy Nearly Winning
Maverick McNealy is a golfer worth following and given the PGA tournament details of the Shriners Childen’s Open, it should suit him.
The 26-year-old is almost at his peak; all he needs to do to reward devoted bettors is to become more consistent. The golfer from Stanford shot 75 in the first round of the Fortinet Championship before missing the cut, but he is far better than that.
We believe McNealy can improve despite missing the cut at the Shriners Open the previous year. He is a young player who recorded nine top 25 finishes last season and bookmakers are offering +5500 for him to win.
He’s also +260 to finish in the top 20 with Shriners Children’s Open odds, so he’s the value pick at the sportsbook.
