Schenk Stirs Up a Shot: Lands Ball in Fan’s Drink
PGA Tour Highlights: Starts Off With Three Strokes Under Par

Making the top of the PGA Tour highlights, Adam Schenk, a golfer not unfamiliar with life’s little twists and turns, swung into a strange happening at The American Express.
Battling through the challenging fairways of the PGA WEST’s Pete Dye Stadium Course, Schenk found himself three strokes under par after 15 holes, ready to put the pedal to the metal.
A Gift from the Golf Gods
In a moment that seemed scripted by the golf gods themselves, worthy of the best PGA Tour highlights, Schenk’s tee shot on the 16th took a detour. Swinging his 3-iron for a long 264-yard shot, the ball veered right off the fairway, disappearing from view, leaving even the eagle-eyed Golf Channel host Terry Gannon guessing.
But then, a spectator’s exclamation turned all eyes to an unusual resting place for Schenk’s ball – a fan’s drink!
Vodka Cranberry “Hole-in-One”
Schenk discovered his ball had made a splash landing in a spectator’s vodka cranberry, turning the drink into a makeshift golf hole. His wife, Kourtney, captured this quirky moment, showing the Titleist nestled like an ice cube in the drink.
The rules swung in Schenk’s favor, granting him free relief without penalty – a real-life mulligan!
Double Bogey Finish
Not missing a beat, Schenk pitched his third shot close to the cup, setting up a smooth putt for a birdie. Though he stumbled with a double-bogey on the 17th, he finished the round with a score of two-under par. Schenk’s ability to stir up success, even in the most unusual circumstances, has left us no doubt with this shot! The best of PGA Tour highlights!
