Atlanta United go into this match in rough form, as they’ve lost three of the last five games. They’ve had the most time out of anyone who’s played thus far to sort themselves out before the Leagues Cup. Thanks to this extra time, they will also have their entire squad healthy and ready to play.
There are two significant factors going into the Miami vs Atlanta matchup. Those two are Miami manager Tata Martino and striker Josef Martinez. Both of whom started their MLS careers in Atlanta. Nothing would satisfy Atlanta more than beating two former members of their team.

All eyes were on Inter Miami last Friday afternoon as they kicked off the Leagues Cup with an outstanding win against Liga MX side Cruz Azul. It was all thanks to the man, Lionel Messi, who scored a perfectly placed free kick. However, despite winning, Miami still looked like they were the last-placed team in the MLS standings. They only looked like a team competing for a trophy or something once Messi, Busquets, and Martinez came on.
