Can Brooklyn Earn Its Fourth Win In Five Games?

The Warriors vs Nets Game Odds Are Intriguing

The Brooklyn Nets have won three of their last four games. On Monday, they’ll attempt to earn another win against the Golden State Warriors at home.

The Nets are getting superb minutes out of Cam Thomas. But they’ve also got Ben Simmons back in the lineup, who gives them a little bit of everything in the box score. Simmons and the Nets most recently took down the 76ers, 136-121, which had to have made Simmons happy.

Simmons heard the boos nonstop during that game but had the last laugh after the win.

Meanwhile, the Warriors lost their last matchup in an overtime game against the Hawks. This will be their third consecutive road game. Right now, they’re currently 1-1 on the road trip.

With the Nets playing better basketball, the spread for this game is currently favoring the Nets at -2. The total is also high at 236.

Let’s talk about the Warriors vs Nets game odds below.

Warriors vs Nets Game Odds & Trends

The Warriors are just 21-23-2 against the spread this season. With a record of 21-24 straight up, the Warriors have been very average this season. They’re also 8-11 on the road, which is not a good look for a franchise that has watched their dynasty fall apart over the last seasons.

Still, the Warriors have hit the Over in 28 of 45 games this year.

On the other hand, the Nets are just 12-13 at home. They’re also 23-23-2 against the spread and have hit the Over in 24 of 48 games. The Nets are just as average as the Warriors regarding profit. However, they’re eight games below .500 as a unit, with a record of 20-28 straight up.
The Warriors earned a 124-120 win over the Nets in December. However, the Nets won the previous two games last season.

Can Steph Curry Get Some Help?

In the loss to the Hawks, Steph Curry added a season-high 60 points but still lost 141-134 in overtime.

He became just the second player to ever score 60 points at age 35 or older. Only Kobe Bryant hit that feat prior when he scored 60 points in his last NBA game in 2016 at age 37.

Curry acknowledged that the accolade was special but preferred a win against the Hawks.

No player on the Warriors contributed more than 17 points in the win. The 17 points came from Lestor Quinones, who shot 6-for-11 in 23 minutes. Klay Thompson shot 4-for-19, and Draymond Green only took nine shots.

Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins was hurt and left the game early.

Curry’s a legend. But his teammates aren’t doing enough to win games.

Ben Simmons Could Be X-Factor For The Nets

Ben Simmons is already forgotten by most. He’s a player who has been absent from NBA lineups for a while due to multiple injuries and mental health issues.

But he’s back for the Nets. He hadn’t played a game since November 6, but came back for a game in January and once again played against the 76ers on Saturday.

In those two games, he played a combined 32 minutes. But in those 32 minutes, he’s shot 100% from the floor with ten points, 16 assists, and 17 rebounds.

Many NBA players play 32 minutes in a single game. Imagine if he played 32 minutes and put up that stat line.

The media would be going nuts.

Simmons won’t shoot the ball at a high rate. But he’ll fill up the box score and do some of the little things to help the Nets win. He’ll be an X-factor if he can stay healthy and play more minutes for the Nets.

Unfortunately, he’ll be out for this game due to injury management.

The New-Look Nets

It might be a little too late for the Nets. However, this team is playing so much better as of late. They’ve got a balanced roster and are starting to get healthy.

Dennis Smith Jr. and Dorian Finney-Smith could return to the floor for this game.

The Nets have limited turnovers to 12.9% and have added 28.3% of offensive rebounds. While the Nets don’t get to the foul line often, the Warriors foul at a high rate. The Nets could see the foul line more frequently against the Warriors at home.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are only average defensively on the glass. They’re also allowing a 54.8% effective field goal percentage on defense. That’s, again, average, sitting at 15th in the NBA.

On the other hand, the Warriors could limit turnovers better against the Nets despite giving up 14.5% of turnovers. Golden State has also been very good on the offensive glass and will likely earn more second-chance points.

However, the Nets are a better defensive rebounding team, holding opponents to a 54.5% effective field goal percentage.

The Warriors typically score at a little higher percentage. However, the Nets have more of an edge in different areas of the game, including turnover percentage and free throw shooting.

Todays NBA games should have some exciting NBA scores. However, our NBA predictions for the Warriors vs Nets game odds are that the Nets will win and cover the spread of -2 at home.

Brooklyn is hot. Golden State is not.
