We get a second helping of Mavs Warriors this Friday and we are in for another great game. These Western Conference teams are in the playoff mix and fighting for the seeding that may make or break their NBA seasons.

The NBA injury report is looking relatively clean for both teams, so a repeat of their great matchup from Tuesday night is imaginable.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

The Warriors won a nail-biter at home against Dallas on Tuesday in a game with two teams fighting in the middle of the Western Conference standings. The game featured a 30-point triple-double from MVP hopeful Luka Doncic and a defensive masterpiece from Draymond Green with a group effort offensively from the Warriors.

The Warriors had six different NBA players score double digits, while the Mavs had 20 and 27-point help from PJ Washington and Kyrie Irving, respectively.

The Warriors outlasted the Mavs 104-100, covering the spread of +1.5 and going way under the total which was set at 231.5. Now that we have the Warriors vs Mavericks betting lines, we will check the NBA injury report, and NBA scoreboard and see where we can find some value to bet on.

Dubs Wheeling and Dealing

The Warriors are once again giving their fans hope. This season has been a true roller coaster, and many are having trouble believing the Warriors can contend for NBA championships again, let alone find their way through the Play-In Tournament and into the bloodbath of the Western Conference NBA playoff bracket.

The hope comes from the fact that the Warriors are on a late-season winning streak, the exact push they need to not fall out of the top ten of the NBA standings. After last night’s win in Houston, the Warriors have won six in a row on the back of an incredible defensive stretch led by Draymond Green.

Over the last ten NBA games the Warriors have climbed their way up to sixth in defensive rating, which paired with their sixth-ranked offensive rating during that period has produced lots of quality wins. The Splash Brothers, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson polished off their Houston killing guns, each dropping 29 points in the win.

Curry only scored 13 points in his last game against Dallas, which although unlikely to happen again, may be an interesting trend to bet for Dallas backers on Friday. Dallas has the third-best defense in the league over the last ten games, and we expect another quality defensive effort Friday.

Dallas Streak Reborn?

Although Golden State snapped the Maverick’s seven-game winning streak on Tuesday, the Mavs followed up their loss with a convincing win over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday. The Mavericks won 109-95, solidifying their fifth-place position in the Western Conference.

This win marked their 12th victory in 14 games, coming off a long five-game road trip. After a slow start, Luka Doncic bounced back strong in the second quarter, leading a 10-0 run and finishing with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists.

The Mavericks’ defense also played well (the new norm in Dallas?), holding the high-scoring Hawks to a season-low 95 points.

The last time these teams played PJ Washington had a solid night scoring 20 points and taking a lot of the offensive load with 19 shots. After a 19-point game Thursday, and covering his points prop in four of his last six contests, if there is one over to look at in this game, it could be his.

Not Your Usual Defensive Teams

When you think of Dallas and Golden State you probably think of the offensive mastery of their leaders, Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry. While those two are still making magic happen on a nightly basis, these teams’ defenses are what have been propelling them toward the playoffs.

Warriors vs Mavericks betting lines opened at Dallas -5.5 with a total of 228, and we think this game will look similar to the defensive battle that took place between these two NBA teams only a few nights ago. That game didn’t even exceed 204, so we aren’t sure why this line is still set so high.

Dallas hasn’t covered a line of 228 in seven of their last ten games and Golden State hasn’t in six. We like this game to go under and probably will be a close one again, making the Warriors at +5.5 an intriguing bet.
