Brown vs Princeton Odds & Trends

Brown has only won six games straight up this season. However, they’ve done better against the spread, covering in nine of 21 games this season. Brown still hasn’t been profitable for bettors but has at least covered in games it lost this year.

Meanwhile, Brown has hit the Over in 12 of 21 games this season but is just 2-7 on the road this year.

On the other hand, Princeton is just 10-8 against the spread despite 17 wins this season. The Tigers have hit the Over and Under equally this NCAAB season. More importantly, the Tigers haven’t lost at home this season.

The Tigers were a seven-point favorite against Brown on the road and covered with a ten-point win on February 3. Finally, Princeton has defeated Brown head-to-head in six of the last seven games.

Can Brown Find Some Consistency?

The Brown Bears have had four different starting lineups this season. They’ve also had 16 different 20-point performances this year.

Ten have come from Kino Lilly Jr., who has added 19 points per game this season. However, as the team’s leading scorer, he’s shooting below 40% from the field.

The Bears have just two players averaging ten or more points this year. It’s between Lilly Jr. and Nana Owusu-Anane, who has added 15.3 points per game.

Brown has lacked depth this year, and the record proves it.

Another Tournament Run For Princeton?

The Princeton Tigers made a dominant run in the NCAA Tournament last year. Now, they’re looking for another chance at making an impact in the NCAA Tournament.

At 17-3 this season, the Tigers have a legitimate path into the NCAA Tournament. Winning the Ivy League would be key.

They’re 5-2 in conference play and rank No. 10 in college basketball in winning percentage, with a .850 record.

They’re one of seven teams in the nation with just three losses. Meanwhile, there are only two college basketball teams with two losses. But this group is more special because they’ve won eight road games this season.

They’ll be home for this game, but Princeton deserves recognition for their dominance this season. They’re currently a legitimate NCAA Tournament team.

What Can Brown Do For You?

The answer is nothing.

Brown has just six wins for a reason. The Bears have shot 31.2% from three and 48.7% from inside the arc while hitting just 64.9% from the foul line this season.

While the Bears typically get to the foul line and earn second chances from the foul line, Princeton has held teams to 25.6% offensive rebounds and is one of the best college basketball teams in the country at limiting fouls.

The Tigers have still allowed 33% from three and 50.8% from inside the arc. Those aren’t terrific defense numbers, but it’ll work out at home against a Brown squad that has struggled from the field all season long.

Conversely, Princeton has nailed 35.5% from three and 56.8% from inside the arc. The Princeton Tigers have also hit 79.1% from the foul line and turned the ball over just 13.1% of the time.

That turnover percentage ranks third in all of college basketball. Brown won’t be adding many turnovers or fastbreak points in this one.

Furthermore, the Bears have watched teams shoot 34.4% from three and 51.7% from inside the arc this season. Princeton’s shooting percentage will be much higher than Brown’s.

The Bears can still find success on the glass. Brown will succeed on the defensive glass if Princeton has a bad shooting night. Princeton has earned only 24.6% of offensive rebounds and also doesn’t get to the foul line often.

Typically, Princeton shoots it well from the field. Therefore, they don’t need those second chances or foul shots, especially when limiting other teams at the line, too.

There won’t be many college basketball scores to track tonight. But after reviewing the Brown vs Princeton odds, the Tigers will see their NCAAB stats improve at home.

Our NCAAB picks today include Princeton at -12.5 (-114).
