2024-2025 Heisman Trophy Odds: QBs Dominate List

Ewers, Beck Early Favorites to Win Heisman

While many sports bettors are looking ahead to March Madness, football diehards are busy pouring over the latest future odds. There are odds on winning the national championship, conferences and of course, 2024-2025 Heisman Trophy odds.

It’s no surprise to see quarterbacks rule the odds list, with the lowest-odds players all signal callers. Some of the top contenders are joining new teams, while others are back for another go-round with their current team.

There’s a bit of guesswork involved, although there are several players who offer pretty good betting value.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Longhorns logo Quinn Ewers (+800)

Ewers is one of the co-favorites entering the season as he begins his third year for the Longhorns. He helped lead Texas to the Big 12 Conference title a year ago, but is facing a whole new beast in the Southeastern Conference this season. He’ll get more exposure this season in the SEC.

The biggest problem with taking Ewers is his NCAAF player stats don’t jump out at you. He threw for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns last season.

Bulldogs logo Carson Beck (+800)

Beck is the other co-favorite and should be playing on the No. 1 team in the preseason polls. His first season as a starter was a strong one, as he threw for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns.

It’s not unreasonable to expect him to take a step forward this season. It will have to be a pretty big step forward, however, as other players are likely to have better numbers

Ducks logo Dillon Gabriel (+1000)

Gabriel is an interesting proposition here, as he begins to play for his third team. He thrived at UCF and Oklahoma and could have a monster season for the Ducks.

Oregon is joining the Big Ten this season, so they’ll see some better defenses than a year ago. Gabriel threw for 3,660 yards and 30 TDs with the Sooners. The 2024-25 Heisman Trophy odds are decent on Gabriel and he’s worth a look.

Crimson Tide logo Jalen Milroe (+1400)

Milroe had a strong finish to the season a year ago, helping the Tide get back to the college football playoffs. The much-maligned signal caller threw for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns.

He’s also one of the better running quarterbacks among Heisman favorites, scoring 12 TDs and running for 531 yards. He was sacked 44 times, which takes away from his rushing total.

The betting guides show Alabama was 9-5 against the spread last season, so Milroe got the job done for Tide backers. He would need to take it up another notch, although it’s possible.

Buckeyes logo Will Howard (+1400)

The 2024-25 Heisman Trophy odds on Howard are generous, as he makes the move from Kansas State to Ohio State. That’s enough to move him into Heisman conversation alone, although Howard can play.

He threw for 2,643 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, while adding nine scores on the ground. Howard was a favorite among sports bettors, helping the Wildcats go 8-4-1 against the NCAAF odds last season. He’ll have better weapons at Ohio State and it’s possible Howard enjoys a breakthrough season.

Seminoles logo DJ Uiagalelei (+2000)

Uiagalelei had a breakthrough season at Oregon State. Now he moves to the other side of the country and will start for Florida State. Uiagalelei threw for 2,638 yards and 21 touchdowns with the Beavers.

He’ll get more opportunities with the Seminoles; however, he looks to be a bit of a stretch for the Heisman Trophy.

Ole Miss Rebels - Wikipedia Jaxson Dart (+2000)

Dart is about to begin his third season as the starting quarterback for Ole Miss. That isn’t something many of the others on the list can say. He was solid last season, throwing for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns.

While those are nice stats, they’re not really Heisman Trophy worth stats, so he’ll have to pick it up a notch this season.

Sooners logo Jackson Arnold (+2000)

Arnold showed flashes of brilliance in the Alamo Bowl. However, he also showed some of the signs of being a young QB without much experience.

The Sooners are banking on Arnold as their starting QB this season and he has talent. He just doesn’t have the experience and this is probably too tall an order to ask of the Oklahoma quarterback.

Tigers logo Garrett Nussmeier (+2200)

LSU’s Nussmeier has waited for this chance and he’ll probably make the most of it. It might be a little bit far-fetched to think he’ll be in the conversation for the Heisman.

He was solid in the Reliaquest Bowl against Wisconsin, although now he’ll face a season of SEC defenses.

Cougars logo Cam Ward (+2200)

The Miami Hurricanes hope Ward can duplicate last season’s success at Washington State. Ward threw for 3,735 yards and 25 touchdowns. He added five touchdowns on the ground. He’ll get a chance to shine for the Hurricanes, who like to throw the ball.
