It is a fairly light schedule in the Atlantic Coast Conference with six of the teams in the conference having bye weeks; however, what the ACC lacks in quantity in Week 7 it more than makes up with in quality. Three of the four games features teams with winning records. Let’s begin with a look at the North Carolina State vs Syracuse odds.

Game of the Week

North Carolina State Wolfpack vs Syracuse Orange

The only two defenses to allow less than 300 yards per game will get to square off. The Syracuse defense is led by Mikel Jones (35 tackles) and Garrett Williams (30 tackles). Drake Thomas leads the Wolfpack (5-1, 1-1 in the ACC) with 46 tackles to go with four sacks. North Carolina State has allowed just 11 opposing drives to reach the red zone with Syracuse (5-0, 2-0) giving up just eight red zone drives.

Syracuse’s Garrett Schrader is the second highest rated quarterback in the ACC as he is completing 70.9% of his passes with 10 touchdowns and one interception. He teams with Sean Tucker to lead a dynamic rushing offense.
NC State’s Devin Leary had two TD passes in last year’s win over the Orange.

Three of the last four meetings between the Wolfpack and Orange finished over the total and that included a highly entertaining 36-29 win by North Carolina State in 2020 in the last matchup hosted by Syracuse.

The total has gone under in six of Syracuse’s last seven games at home with the total for this matchup currently at 44.5 points.

Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Tech Hokies

Miami (2-3, 0-1) was expected to be the top team in the ACC Coastal Division coming into the season. At this point, the Hurricanes will gladly take a division win. Could it come this week against a 2-4 Virginia Tech team that has allowed 36 more points than it has scored?

Miami is allowing 10.3 yards per passing attempt, the most in the ACC while Virginia Tech’s two interceptions is tied for the lowest mark in the conference.

Miami’s Tyler Van Dyke is coming off a career-high 496 passing yards in last week’s loss to North Carolina. However, if he attempts 57 passes a game, he might not last the season.

The Hokies only allowed 170 passing yards in a loss to Pittsburgh as the Panthers gashed Virginia Tech for 326 rushing yards.

Miami has won six of the last eight meetings and is looking to win in Blackburg for the fourth time in the last five trips to Virginia Tech.

Clemson Tigers vs Florida State Seminoles

This could be a statement game for an improved Florida State team that welcomes conference favorite Clemson to Doak Walker Stadium.

The Seminoles (4-2, 2-2) and Tigers (6-0, 4-0) are two of the four ACC teams to allow less than five yards per offensive play so this could be a hard-hitting defensive struggle.

Florida State, led by Albany transfer Jared Verse, is third in the ACC with 16 sacks followed by Clemson with 15.
The highly touted Clemson defensive line is getting closer to full strength and that could make for a long day for the FSU offensive line. However, the Seminoles have given up just seven sacks in the first six games.

When looking at the college football injuries, Clemson could be without running back Kobe Pace. However, defensive lineman and top 2023 NFL draft prospect Bryan Bresee might return  after missing the last two games,

When looking at the Clemson at Florida State matchup, the Tigers have won the last six contests against the Seminoles. The last time the Tigers played in Tallahassee, Clemson put up 59 points. Florida State’s last win in the series came in 2014.

North Carolina Tar Heels vs Duke Blue Devils

Concluding our North Carolina State vs Syracuse Odds Preview: Duke (4-2, 1-1) is next up as North Carolina redshirt freshman Drake Maye continues his remarkable season. In a conference full of experienced passes, Maye is the ACC lead with 1,903 passing yards, 21 touchdown passes and a passer rating of 185.05 for North Carolina (5-1, 2-0).

It has been more of a struggle for Duke’s Riley Leonard as he has just eight TD passes in six games.
These are two of the worst pass defenses in the conference so perhaps the game will turn into an offensive showcase.

North Carolina has won each of the last three games in the series and is 3-0-1 against the spread in the last four matchups.
