On Monday night, Chicago was shutout 3-0 by the Carolina Hurricanes.

Carolina rookie goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov, who recently won a Calder Cup in the city of Chicago with the Wolves of the American Hockey League, played exceptionally well, making 27 saves to record his first career National Hockey League shutout. For the Blackhawks to get things rolling back in the win column, they must improve their offensive output.

Chicago has been held to three goals or fewer in eight straight games, with the Power-Play converting on just three of their last 21 chances.
