Golden Knights vs Panthers Game 3 Player Props

VGK Dominated First Two Games, but Series Starts With Road Win

We don’t have an opinion on tonight’s side or the total, but there are many Knights vs Panthers player props that look enticing. Let’s take a look at a few of the player props that we’re excited about in game three. Just a note about the game. We have no idea why the betting public is so surprised that the Golden Knights have been the better of the two teams. A look at the regular season NHL standings shows the Panthers made the playoffs by one point and faced a Boston Bruins team that was beat up and then Toronto and Carolina who have a history of playoff choke jobs. NHL Odds has the Panthers a small -120 home favorite with the total bumped up to six.

VGK Player Prop: Marchessault Total Shots

If the Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup, it will be very interesting to see who the Conn Smythe winner will be considering the Knights seem to have a new hero every night. The shot prop on Knights’ second-leading scorer, Jonathan Marchessault (12 goals, 9 assists, 21 points) sits at 3.5 (under -165). That’s an interesting stance (-165) with Marchessault averaging 3.62 shots per game while playing top-line minutes. We can see why the number would be set at 3.5, but that money line gives us some pause.

In Marchessault’s last five games, the winger has averaged 2.8 shots per game and 3.6 over his last 10 while averaging just under 18 minutes per game. We think the under is the play here with Cassidy not afraid to roll out four lines. If you like the Knights to win, the under is the play because Bruce Cassidy won’t be forced to shorten up the bench, keeping Marchessault’s ice to a standard 18 minutes. The books seem to be begging the betting public to take the over (+125), we’re not falling for that.

Knights Prop Bets Show Books Expect Panthers Bounceback

Almost all the Knights vs Panthers player props, give off the flavor that the books are favoring the Panthers to play better than they did at the Fortress in games one and two. Very few have the juice going in a positive direction for each player, with the William Karlsson total point prop (0.5, under -140) being no exception.

Karlsson is the Knights’ sixth-leading scorer in the postseason with 15 points in 19 games, but second in goals scored with 10. His shot percentage (25%) is reminiscent of his first season in Vegas where the native of Sweden scored 43 goals on 23.4% shooting. Yet, we’re looking at another number that seems to roll out the red carpet for bettors. We’re going right back to the under in this one. Let’s continue our Knights vs Panthers player props preview with one more that will give us a plus-money return.

Player Performance Prop Offer Value

If we scroll all the way down our Knights vs Panthers prop betting sheet we find one that catches our eye because it allows for decent plus money payouts no matter which side you prefer. This is a great prop for someone who doesn’t have a rooting interest. Matthew Tkachuk and Jack Eichel (over 0.5 assist each) is an interesting parlay that could payout +270 with a winner. This is another prop that seems to favor the Panthers slightly because they are always that chance that Tkachuk will not be around to play the full 22 minutes that he’s averaged per game in the postseason. No one has more postseason penalty minutes (60) than Tkachuk who averages almost a double minor a night.

In game two, the Arizona native played just over 15 minutes. Then we come to Jack Eichel and his health after taking a monster shot from Tkachuk in the middle of the ice in game two. Eichel didn’t look good skating off the ice after Tkachuk unloaded a clean hit with dirty intentions. Regardless, we wrap up our Knights vs Panthers player props preview suggesting to bet yes +270.

That does it for our three favorite game three props. Just know that this series isn’t over. Expect the Panthers to play their best in game three as the oddsmakers clearly anticipate.
