The league thought all was cool with the actions of Kane, but Alex Pietrangelo has a hearing with the league office that could lead to a game-five suspension after a nasty slash on Draisaitl with 1:27 left in the third. Not to stick up for Pietrangelo but you have to think the 33-year-old defenseman was a little frustrating after physical play by Edmonton resulted in a lack of calls.

McDavid hit Pietrangelo from behind that was an easy boarding call, Kane went high with his stick that was called, but overall you could say that Edmonton has a friend in the officiating crew through four games.
