Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic Schedule: Alcaraz, Djokovic & Murray Part of Field
No. 1 Alcaraz and No. 2 Djokovic Among Players Taking Part in Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic

Some of the Top Tennis Players are Skipping Tune-Up Events to Play in Exhibition Tourney
Wimbledon is fast approaching, but you won’t find many of the heavy hitters on the men’s tour playing in the final tune-up events on the ATP calendar. The reason is evident when looking at the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic schedule.
Carlos Alcaraz, who just replaced Novak Djokovic at No. 1 in the ATP rankings, joins Djokovic as headliners in the exhibition event being held in London.
American Frances Tiafoe gets things started on Tuesday against Cameron Norrie.
This will be a low-stress event for players who will get in some extra hitting before heading into the pressure-packed race for the Wimbledon title. There will be no ATP ranking points at stake, and betting odds won’t be available since this event is not sanctioned by the ATP tour.
When looking at some tennis predictions, Djokovic leads the way at -140 in the outrights to win the Wimbledon men’s title, followed by Alcaraz at +300. Alexander Zverev (+2800), Holger Rune (+3300), Andy Murray (+4000), Norris (+6000), Casper Ruud (+6000), Tiafoe (+8000) and Stan Wawrinka (+8000) are among the other Wimbledon contenders taking part in the Giorgio Tennis Classic.
About the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic
When looking at the 2023 Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic schedule, it is not a surprise to see so many big names, as Rafael Nadal, Boris Becker, and Maria Sharapova are among those who have played in the event during its 27-year history.
“It’s the perfect way for me to warm up for Wimbledon – there’s always a great atmosphere, and the setting is absolutely stunning.” Murray said in a quote posted on the tournament’s official site.
The 2023 tournament got underway on Tuesday and will run through Saturday.
There are nine exhibition matches involving current ATP players.
Mark Philippoussis and Marcos Baghdatis are among those taking part in five legends doubles matches.
The event will be held at the Hurlingham Club in London.
A Look At the Schedule
It all began with Tiafoe and Norrie squaring off on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Andy Murray will meet Holger Rune, followed by Stan Wawrinka meeting up with Yibing Wu. Norrie and Ruud will play in Thursday’s first match, with a showdown between Djokovic and Tiafoe the final match of the day as part of the 2023 Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic schedule.
Alcaraz squares off with 2020 US Open men’s singles champion Dominic Thiem on Friday, and a match between Zverev and Jiri Lehecka will follow that.
Ruud and Thiem will go head-to-head on Saturday. There will also be a match on Saturday featuring French teen Luca Van Assche against an opponent yet to be announced.
The matches can be viewed on the Tennis One app.
