“But I did speak to others as well because I’m still keeping in touch every now and then. I have some projects and ideas together with F1. We’ll see if they will turn out or not.”

Hamilton, who will be joining Ferrari for the 2025 season, has openly endorsed the idea of Vettel returning to Formula 1. He praises Vettel’s exceptional track record, describing him as an “amazing option” for any team.

The Prodigal Son Returns?

With Max Verstappen possibly heading to Mercedes and Checo Perez’s contract status uncertain, Horner needs to have a master plan ready in case Red Bull is left without drivers.
Vettel appears to be open to a comeback. When asked about what he misses most about the F1 schedule, he highlighted the thrill, speed, and above all, the competition. “Driving fast isn’t everything,” he added, “but it’s definitely the competition that I miss the most.”
