Viktoria Plzen Stats & History
In 1952, the club changed its name to Sokol Škoda Plzeň, which was changed back in 1992. In 1971, they won their first major trophy in the Viktoria Plzň team stats, the Czech Cup. However, they lost in the Czechoslovak Cup final to Spartak Trnava 7-2 over two legs. Regardless, Viktoria Plzň qualified for the 1971-72 Cup Winners’ Cup because Trnava won the Czechoslovak league.
In their first European campaign, Viktoria Plzň , then in the Czech second division, fell to Bayern Munchen in the first round. Despite their elimination, Viktoria managed to earn their promotion to the Czechoslovak First League again.
In 2010, Viktoria Plzň won their second Czech Cup and made history by winning their first Czech League title in the 2010-11 season. They finished in third place in their group, in their subsequent Champions League appearance, their first ever.

Viktoria Plzen Team Records
Since then, Viktoria plzen have become a dominant force in Czech soccer. As of 2022, they’ve won six of the last 12 Czech First League titles. Betting advice should note that they haven’t finished lower than fifth since the 2008-09 season. They’ve also qualified for Europe in each of the last 12 seasons.
With their latest title in 2022, Viktoria Plzen were placed in the second round of 2022-23 Champions League qualifiers. They defeated HJK Helsinki 7-1 on aggregate, and knocked out Sheriff Tiraspol in the third round. Plzň faced Azerbaijani club Qarabag in the playoff round and beat them 2-1 on aggregate. Now, they’re playing in the Champions League group stage for the fourth time in club history. However, the Champions League odds priced them as +10000 underdogs to win a brutal Group C. They’re paired with Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
