There are two title fights on the line in Japan this Saturday, including Jerusalem vs Shigeoka and Andales vs Shigeoka.
Jerusalem vs Shigeoka boxing odds have the current WBC Minimum champion at short odds, along with his brother for the IBF Strawweight title.

Inexperienced but Talented
Yudai Shigeoka has only eight fights under his belt, but the 26-year-old has been winning impressively.
He comes off a unanimous decision win over Panya Pradabsri, who was 40-1. It was a quality win, and it followed three consecutive wins by TKO or knockout.
He won the title when knocking out Wilfredo Mendez last year, and he has been a busy fighter, which should help his cause against Jerusalem, who has much more experience than his opponent.
Jerusalem is 21-3 following a win over an easy 8-6-1 fighter. That wasn’t very impressive, and it went to a decision.
It followed a loss to Oscar Collazo, who is one of the more promising fighters in the division. Because of these performances, Jerusalem vs Shigeoka boxing odds have the challenger at +535 to score an upset.
Most of the early money is on Shigeoka, who is the current -835. If you want a bet on boxing, you might want to find better value. The champion will be at better odds to win by decision, and it could easily go the distance.
Three of his eight fights have gone the distance, and we’re giving Jerusalem enough credit that he can hang tough and hear the final bell.
However, we see no other result than a Shigeoka win. He fights in front of his home fans in Nagoya, and that should spur him on.
Younger Brother Not to be Upstaged
Ginjiro Shigeoka, the younger brother of Yudai, doesn’t want to be upstaged on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old is ranked third in the world in the minimum division after winning the IBF title against Daniel Valladares in October.
The fifth-round TKO was an impressive performance, and he owns eight wins by knockout from 10 fights. It’s an impressive record, and he’s the -1430 favorite with boxing odds for a reason.
Boxing news reported how happy Ginjiro was about him and his brother winning world titles.
“My older brother and I worked hard to become official champions,” Shigeoka said.
The sportsbook isn’t giving ArAr Andales much respect at +730, but we’re not surprised. Andales is 14-2-3 after consecutive draws by technical decision.
It’s rare to see that happen, and much of his professional career has come against inferior opponents. However, he faced CP Freshmart in 2019, and it ended with a controversial technical decision.
“I know Knockout was definitely exhausted before the referee stopped the fight,” said Gerry Balmes, co-promotor of Quibors Boxing Gym.
“Also they know we were getting him during that round or maybe in the next round because Knockout (Freshmart) is very exhausted, holding and holding, while our fighter is in the process to get him via KO.”
Bettors might not see much value in the current odds. However, he has a clear class advantage, and based on his record, it could end with a knockout.
Despite Andales showing talent at times throughout his career, we think Shigeoka is on another level. That could be evident, and he should retain his belt in fine style.
