Head-to-Head Leverkusen vs Bayern Odds

Back in September, Bayer Leverkusen scored on a stoppage time penalty to preserve a 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich. The pregame Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich odds priced a draw at +390 odds. Bayer Leverkusen have lost just one of their last four Bundesliga fixtures vs Bayern Munich. Two of the last four meetings have finished in draws and Leverkusen have won just two of the last ten. Both teams have also scored in eight of the last ten matchups overall.

Bayer Leverkusen Unbeaten in 30 Matches

Bayer Leverkusen have played 30 games this season, in all competitions. They’ve put together a ridiculous 26-4-0 record so far in one of the most impressive seasons we’re ever likely to see. On Tuesday, Leverkusen came from behind in the DFB-Pokal Quarter-Final twice to defeat Stuttgart 3-2. Last Saturday, Leverkusen also picked up a 2-0 win in the Bundesliga as Nathan Tella scored a brace. It was his first start of the season and it gives Xabi Alonso something to think about going forward.

Leverkusen have completely outperformed their expected scores and odds this season. If they’re able to come away from this match with a result, they could conceivably go unbeaten in the Bundesliga. Florian Wirtz has been their talisman this season and the German international has provided three assists in his last two matches. Meanwhile, Leverkusen have kept back-to-back clean sheets in the Bundesliga. One big roadblock in Leverkusen’s title challenge is striker Victor Boniface’s injury, which could keep him out until April.

Before the Nigerian international went down a few weeks ago, he scored ten goals and provided seven assists in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen recently brought in Borja Iglesias on loan to provide cover and he, Adam Hlozek and Patrik Schick will need to step up. While center back Odilon Kossounou is still away at the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast, midfielder Exequiel Palacios could miss this match with an injury.

Bayern Rounding into Form

Bayern Munich have won six of their last seven Bundesliga matches as they chase leaders Bayer Leverkusen. On Saturday, Bayern fell behind vs Borussia Monchengladbach but quickly got back on level terms. For the second straight match, teenage midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic scored Bayern Munich’s opening goal of the match. In the second half, Harry Kane and Matthijs de Ligt delivered a 3-1 victory for Bayern with their goals.

A look at the Bundesliga stats shows that Bayern have scored more goals than any other team this season. They’ve scored six goal in their last two matches and they have a bunch of weapons that can make defenses pay. Chief among them is the clinical Harry Kane, who has scored 24 goals this season.

Kane leads the league in goals, while Leroy Sane tops the assist charts, with 11. Bayern do have a number of players injured but they will get defender Kim Min-jae back from the AFC Asian Cup. Alphonso Davies, Konrad Laimer, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are all out for Saturday’s match. Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich and Dayot Upamecano are considered questionable.

Match Analysis & Odds

Bayer Leverkusen can prove a massive point with a victory here and extend their unbeaten run to 31 games. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich were in a similar position last season, when they trailed Borussia Dortmund for quite some time, but managed to win the title anyway. After all, they’re still -175 favorites to win the Bundesliga title. Bayern won’t be phased by the occasion and they’re +145 favorites to win this match on the road.

The Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich odds also price Bayer Leverkusen as +165 underdogs for this one. Anything can happen in this pick’em and Leverkusen pk comes in at even odds, while Bayern Munich pk sits at -120. A draw is priced at +280 and it’d be the third in the last five meetings.

Bayer Leverkusen, although without Boniface, have four other players who have scored at least five Bundesliga goals this season. They are Wirtz, Alex Grimaldo, Jeremie Frimpong and Jonas Hofmann. Grimaldo and Frimpong are two to watch as the wingbacks could cause Bayern problems down the flanks. In the match of the season, over three goals come in at -135 odds
