Dortmund are unbeaten in their last seven Bundesliga games heading into this one and should keep things competitive. Ahead of the Bundesliga match of the week, we’ll make some Dortmund vs Bayern Munich predictions and check out the odds.

Head-to-Head

Bayern Munich have found a lot of success vs rivals Borussia Dortmund in recent seasons. The Bavarians haven’t lost any of the last nine meetings in the Bundesliga. Last season, these teams drew 2-2 at the Signal Iduna Park and Bayern won 4-2 in Munich.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Thomas Muller scored twice in the 4-2 win and is no stranger to scoring in Der Klassiker, as he has 12 career goals vs Dortmund. Both Bundesliga teams have scored in each of the last eight meetings, in all competitions, and Dortmund vs Bayern Munich predictions usually mention both teams getting on the scoresheet.

Dortmund Unbeaten in Last Eight Matches

It’s been an important week for Borussia Dortmund. After failing to score in their first two Champions League matches and going 0-1-1, they got a crucial win over Newcastle at St. James’ Park last Wednesday. Last weekend, Dortmund fell behind 2-0 on the road at Eintracht Frankfurt but managed to pull things back and salvage a 3-3 draw.

On Wednesday, Dortmund hosted Hoffenheim in the second round of the DFB-Pokal and BVB came away with a 1-0 win. Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck made an excellent block off the goal line in the first half and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens assisted Marco Reus for the game’s only goal.

Edin Terzic’s Dortmund have been a much-improved pick for soccer betting over the last few weeks. Since losing to PSG in the UCL, Dortmund are on an eight match unbeaten run, in all competitions.

Borussia Dortmund have kept four clean sheets in their last six matches, in all competitions. Reus may be entering the twilight of his career but Dortmund’s captain is still a highly effective player. Only Julian Brandt has managed more goal contributions than Reus for Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season. Six Dortmund players have multiple league goals this season as well.

Bayern Destroy Darmstadt, Lose Midweek

The first half of Bayern Munich’s match vs Darmstadt last Saturday was quite bizarre. Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich got sent off in the fourth minute for a last-man foul on a Darmstadt player. Then, Darmstadt had two Bundesliga players sent off for similar challenges before the halftime whistle. With a man advantage, Bayern tapped into their killer instinct and scored eight goals in the second half.

Harry Kane’s outrageous effort from 56 meters away was undoubtedly the highlight of the match and is sure to be one of the goals of the season. Kane scored a hat trick in the match, while Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane both scored twice. Manuel Neuer also kept a clean sheet in his long-awaited return to action after suffering a broken leg. Bayern have now won their last three matches on the Bundesliga schedule.

The Bayern Munich standings also show that they’re in second place in the Bundesliga, with an unbeaten 7-2-0 record. Midweek, Bayern shockingly lost to third tier club Saarbrucken 2-1 in the second round of the DFB-Pokal. The Bavarians had previously been scoring a ton. Note that Kimmich is suspended for this match, while Kingsley Coman is dealing with an ankle injury and Matthijs de Ligt came off injured on Wednesday.

Match Analysis & Odds

Both teams are unbeaten in the Bundesliga heading into Saturday’s match, which makes this match even higher-stakes. Dortmund vs Bayern Munich predictions frequently take Bayern to win and it’s hard to bet against them here.

The midweek loss should be a motivating factor and Harry Kane is in absolutely stellar form. It wouldn’t at all be a surprise to see him get on the scoresheet in his Der Klassiker debut. We’re also predicting that both teams get on the scoresheet in this one.

Over 3.5 goals at -110 figures to be a popular pick. Each of the last six Bundesliga meetings have finished with four goals or more and both teams have scored in each. Bayern are -140 favorites on the road, while Dortmund are +310 underdogs and a draw shows +340 odds. Bettors can also take Dortmund +0.5, +1 and Bayern -0.5, -1 at -110 odds.
