Champions League: PSG vs Milan Odds & Preview

European Powerhouses Meet in Group Stage

First Matchup for Over Two Decades

Games between PSG and AC Milan have been rare in the Champions League, but there’s no denying both sides are European powerhouses. The two clubs will meet in a UCL Group F match on Wednesday in Paris. Both teams will feel three points are crucial as they trail leaders Newcastle in the standings. Heading into this match, the Rossoneri have only won one of their last seven Champions League road matches. As they look for their first win of the campaign, we’ll take a look at the PSG vs Milan odds.

PSG PSG vs AC Milan MIL

Day/Time:
Location: Parc des Princes, Paris, France

Head-to-Head:

AC Milan is unbeaten in four previous matches in the UEFA Champions League vs. Paris Saint-Germain. However, the two teams haven’t met since the 2000-01 UCL second group stage. There, the teams drew both of their meetings 1-1. In the 1995 Champions League semifinals, AC Milan won the first leg 1-0 at the Parc des Princes. When they returned to Milan, the Rossoneri were also victorious by a 2-0 scoreline. This one is shaping to be one of the best Champions League matches today.

PSG Bounce Back from Newcastle Defeat

On Saturday, Luis Enrique had to deal with suspensions for key players Achraf Hakimi, Randal Kolo Muani, and Ousmane Dembele vs. Strasbourg. Even so, a shorthanded Paris Saint-Germain managed a 3-0 win at the Parc des Princes. Kylian Mbappe was at the center of everything PSG did, and he scored and assisted vs. Strasbourg. Carlos Soler made a rare start and got himself on the scoresheet, along with Fabian Ruiz.

Since losing 4-1 to Newcastle in the Champions League a few weeks ago, PSG have scored three goals in each of their last two games. To go along with the Strasbourg win, they defeated Rennes 3-1 just before the international break. PSG are now in third place in Ligue 1 with a 5-3-1 record and are just two points behind leaders Monaco. Mbappe leads the league with eight goals and has one in the UCL so far.

The Parisians are in second place in the Group F Champions League standings, with a 1-1 record. They’ll get all of Hakimi, Kolo Muani, and Dembele back for this match, so Enrique will be able to pick a strong lineup. However, Warren Zaire-Emery, Marco Asensio, and Nuno Mendes figure to be out injured for this one. Regardless, the PSG vs Milan odds price the hosts as -130 favorites.

Milan Goalless in UCL

With goalkeeper Mike Maignan suspended, previous Serie A leaders AC Milan fell 1-0 at home to Juventus on Sunday. Rossoneri defender Malick Thiaw picked up a red card in the first half, and it was an uphill battle from there. Former AC Milan player Manuel Locatelli scored the winner vs. his former club midway through the second half.

Regardless, Milan has been one of the better soccer picks today, as they’ve kept five clean sheets in their last seven games. The Rossoneri kept clean sheets in their first two UCL games, vs. Newcastle and Dortmund. However, both of those games ended in draws as Milan has failed to get on the scoresheet yet.

This is close to a must-win match for last season’s Champions League semifinalists. Thiaw is available for selection for this one, as his red card came in Serie A play. Still, Ismael Bennacer and Samuel Chukwueze are out injured for this one. Stefano Pioli will look for goal contributions from his front three of Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud, and Christian Pulisic in this one.

Match Analysis & Odds

PSG’s last home group stage loss in the UEFA Champions League was just over three years ago. They are -130 moneyline favorites for this one, and AC Milan’s defense will have their hands full. Along with Mbappe, Kolo Muani, and Dembele, Goncalo Ramos could start in attack. The PSG vs Milan odds list the visitors as +350 underdogs as they look to remain unbeaten vs. PSG all-time.

Bettors can take PSG -0.5, -1 at even odds as they push for first place in the group. Milan +0.5, +1 also displays -120 odds as they’ve only lost one match by more than a one-goal margin this season. Rafael Leao is the main man to watch for Milan, and his matchup vs. PSG right-back Achraf Hakimi will be crucial in this one.

A draw also comes in at +285, as the last two matches between these teams have finished all square. Milan has conceded just twice in their previous seven games, in all competitions, but over 2.5 goals are priced at -135 odds for this one.
