5:As we move to the business end of the 2023 Bali Major Playoffs, fans worldwide are eagerly waiting to see who will rise to the occasion and win the tournament! The Group Stage has filtered out the qualifying teams into the upper and lower brackets of the playoffs, while six teams have been eliminated from the pool.
The 2023 Bali Major Group Stage began on June 29th and lasted until July 3rd. Eighteen teams were divided into two groups and battled in a single round-robin tournament with a Bo2 format. The top four from each group made it to the upper bracket of the 2023 Bali Major Playoffs, while the fifth and sixth-placed teams went to the lower bracket.
Blacklist International, Execration, Invictus Gaming, Bleed Esports, nouns, and Evil Geniuses were eliminated from the tournament. Evil Geniuses and Invictus were the most surprising, but everyone expected the other four not to make it at this stage. The 2023 Bali Major Playoffs will be held from July 5th to July 9th.

2023 Bali Major Playoff Teams
Twelve teams qualified for the 2023 Bali Major Playoffs, and we’ve already seen some incredible action in the upper bracket. Team Liquid was the first esports team to qualify for the upper bracket semifinal, and BetBoom Team, Gaimin Gladiators, and ? followed soon after.

Playoff Format
Once in the Playoffs, teams will have the opportunity to climb to the top of international Dota.
To do so, teams will compete through a double-elimination bracket. For those unaware, this involves two brackets – a loss in the Upper Bracket results in demotion to the Lower Bracket, while an additional loss in the Lower Bracket means elimination.
Every match looks to be a BO3 except for the epic Grand Final, which wraps things up with a BO5.

Teams to Watch
The only team from our previous article that was teams to watch made the playoffs was Team Aster. Evil Geniuses and Bleed Esports tragically fell and could not make it to the 2023 Bali Major Playoffs.
For this stage of the tournament, there are only two teams every team should watch for esports betting going forward. Those two teams are Team Aster once again and BetBoom Team.
Team Aster (+1500)
Despite losing the first game in the opening round, Team Aster pulled it around and dominated the next two to advance to the upper-bracket semifinals. They have shown their quality time and time again and could easily make a push for the Grand Final on Sunday. If they can get past Gaimin Gladiators, there’s no telling where they will end up.
BetBoom Team (+800)
BetBoom obliterated Tundra Esports in the 2023 Bali Major playoffs opening round. They were also dominant in a group with PSG, Gaimin, and 9Pandas. While BetBoom has sometimes shown signs of cracking during the group stage, they are still one of the best teams to watch regarding esports betting.
