A Sneak Peek Into the 2023 BLAST Premier Tournament
CS:GO competitive season kicked off with the 2023 BLAST Premier Spring Groups in January! The first stage of the annual tournament circuit featured the top 12 organizations fighting for the six spots in the Spring Finals later this year.
The 2023 BLAST Premier Spring Finals is the annual mid-season event in BLAST’s CS:GO calendar. The tournament features eight of the best teams in the 2023 BLAST Premier Circuit throughout the first half of the season.
The eight participating rosters will battle it out in Washington, DC, for a $425,000 prize pool and a direct entry into the 2023 BLAST Premier World Finals. 2023 BLAST Premier Spring Finals will be held from June 7th to 11th.

Participating Teams
After the Group stage, eight of the best CS:GO teams qualified for the Spring Finals. Only one team will directly qualify for the 2023 BLAST Premier World Finals, so the stakes are incredibly high!
There was some drama heading into the Spring Finals as NAVI had qualified on the last day of the Group stage after beating Complexity. However, due to visa issues because of the United States visa laws, NAVI will not be able to compete. As a result, Complexity took their place in the finals.

2023 BLAST Premier Spring Final Format
Eight teams compete in Group Stage between the 7th and 9th of June. From there, the top six teams will advance to the Playoffs, which occur from the 9th to the 11th of June.
Kicking off the competition is a double-elimination format (GSL) group set like previous BLAST Premier events. With each team featuring BO3 matches on the esports schedule, the four teams will do their best to try and place in the top 3. From each group, here’s how seeding into the Playoffs will take place:
- Group Winners – advance to Semifinals
- Group Runners-Up – advance to Quarterfinals as the High Seeds
- Group Stage Third Place – advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds Playoffs
Once in the Playoffs, the final six teams will have to compete through a single elimination bracket. This means that teams have one last lifeline to try and stay in the competition.
2023 BLAST Premier Spring Final Matches
The opening stages of the 2023 BLAST Premier Spring Finals kick off on Wednesday, and we could not be more excited! As the format says above, there will be two matches in the opening stages before teams start to be placed in the top three.

Wednesday, 7th

Top Team to Watch
Vitality and Heroic are two clear favorites going into the 2023 BLAST Premier Spring Finals. Their esports betting odds and their play on the field show that. However, that does not mean they are the teams to watch at the tournament.
The team to watch is the guys who replaced NAVI, Complexity Gaming.
Complexity Gaming
The circumstances of them making the Spring Finals are a bit unorthodox, but that does not mean they don’t deserve to be there. Complexity used to be THE powerhouse in CS:GO esports.
They were always finishing in the top two at every tournament and had some of the best players the game has seen. They have fallen from grace a little bit, but they have seen a resurgence and have been given another lifeline. Complexity could be a dark horse at the 2023 BLAST Premier Spring Final at +5000.
