Valorant VCT 2023 Odds and Preview: VCT Masters Tokyo and Valorant Champions On The Line
Valorant VCT plays in the Pacific, the Americas, and EMEA

As the Valorant VCT circuit moves past the LOCK//IN Sao Paulo tournament, it’s time for the 30 partner teams to compete in the regional leagues. For the 2023 Valorant VCT season, Riot Games has changed the format. There is only one split in each region, making these a season-defining tournament as three spots for VCT Masters Tokyo and Valorant Champions are on the line.
There are three main regions that the Valorant VCT plays in; the Pacific, the Americas, and EMEA (Europe). Every region will have ten teams competing in their respective leagues.
The top ten teams from South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, and South Asia will face off in Seoul for the first season of VCT Pacific, starting on March 25. Next, ten teams from across EMEA will clash at the Messe Berlin Charlottenburg in Berlin in the inaugural season of VCT EMEA, kicking off on March 27. Then finally, the top ten teams from North America, LATAM, and Brazil will clash at the Riot Games Arena, in Los Angeles, in the inaugural season of VCT Americas, kicking off on April 1.
There is a lot of information to review, so we will split this article into each region to make it easier for you! If you are a fan of a specific region, here are internal links to take you right where you want to go.

Team to Watch
The VCT Pacific league is arguably the strongest region in the whole world. Nearly every team can beat each other, and many have gone deep in the Valorant Champions tournaments in the past. However, there is one team that we’ll be watching: the Korean side, Gen.G.
Gen.G (+1400)
After a rough showing at the LOCK//IN Sao Paulo last month, Gen.G is ready to turn it around and fight for the top spot in the Valorant VCT Pacific League. They have brought in two fresh faces ahead of the tournament and expect to integrate them immediately. However, despite new looks, they have not won a match since last October, so give them a couple of games before diving in.
VCT EMEA
The Valorant VCT EMEA League will begin on March 27 with the regular season, where every team faces off in a single round-robin stage. Every match will play in a best-of-three format. Teams will play matches on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, except for a super early week (five straight days of games for the first week).
Six teams will only progress from the regular season to the double-elimination playoffs. Ultimately, the top four teams of the VCT EMEA League will qualify for VCT Masters Tokyo and the top three for Valorant Champions 2023. There will also be a last-chance qualifier in July, giving teams one more chance to secure a spot at the Valorant Champions.
Below are the dates for each stage:
- Regular Season: March 27 – May 19
- Playoffs: May 22 – May 28
- Last Chance Qualifier: TBA

Team to Watch
EMEA is the strongest region in the world in Valorant. They produce champions like no other. Fnatic won the most recent LOCK//IN Sao Paulo! While you may think they are the esports bettors who should watch, think again. The team you should be watching is the Giants.
Giants (+2000)
Giants were the third-best EMEA team at the LOCK//IN Sao Paulo, placing 9th on the table. They barely lost out at a top-eight spot after giving NRG a tough fight. The Spanish organization has silently become one of the most fun teams in the EMEA. At +2000, the Giants are an absolute steal.
VCT Americas
The Valorant VCT Americas League will begin on April 1 with the regular season. The ten teams will face off in a single round stage, with every match featuring a best-of-three format. The ten teams will play games on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, except for the super week (Thursday through Tuesday) and the final week (Thursday through Saturday).
Six teams will only progress from the regular season to the double-elimination playoffs. In the end, the top three teams of the VCT Americas League will qualify for VCT Masters Tokyo and Valorant Champions 2023. There will also be a last-chance qualifier in July, giving teams one more chance to secure a spot at the Valorant Champions.

Team to Watch
The Americas region is fascinating. It is filled with great teams, but only two, maybe three, do well in international tournaments. LOUD is one of the best teams in the world, but most of the teams land in the middle of the pack. However, one group could make a push and surprise everyone at the Valorant VCT Americas; that team is the Evil Geniuses.
Evil Geniuses
The Evil Geniuses may have finished outside the top 8 at the LOCK//IN Sao Paulo, but they easily could have made a push if they had finished the matches where they were the better team. They kept most of the same roster from last year, with two new additions to help bolster their roster. Their recent results don’t say it, but they could be a team most esports predictions have up high. Plus, Evil Geniuses are incredibly undervalued at +2500. If you’re going to bet esports at home – then by all means, keep it right here for the duration of the season.
