Lydia Ko Headlines Dana Open Odds

LPGA Golf Heads to Ohio

Dana Open odds feature all the best golfers in the world, including tournament favorite Rose Zhang and Kiwi sensation Lydia Ko.

It’s a fine LPGA Tour field and it could be a tournament for golf favorites, who often dominate women’s golf.

Ko Worth Sticking With

Since getting married, Ko’s form has tailed off. However, we’re sticking with the New Zealander.

She is the former world number one, and she looked good earlier this season, so she doesn’t need to improve much to win.

We’re not sure if there is anything going on behind the scenes, but we’re happy to keep the faith with Ko, who certainly knows how to win golf tournaments.

“We’re just trying to grind away and enjoy it and know that my level of play hasn’t been to the standard I would like,” Ko said.

“But there’s still a lot of golf to be played and this week is a new week.

“In golf, you can miss ten cuts and then win the week after, it’s odd.”

We thought she would be shorter with Dana Open odds. She’s a +1800 chance, so she represents excellent value, and the best Ko should return.

Zhang Confidently Backed

Zhang is only 20 years of age, but she is the firm +650 favorite with Dana Open odds.

The American finished T9 at the U.S. Open last week, which was a terrific performance at Pebble Beach, and bookmakers believe she will improve on that position.

Her Open golf odds weren’t nearly as short, but the sportsbook is confident of Zhang is too good for this talented field.

The latest golf news suggests Zhang could be the Tiger Woods of women’s golf, but only if she wins a major soon. That’s an unassailable task, especially for a golfer without a major win to her name.

“She’s incredibly poised and has that inner confidence, that inner silent confidence in her that is just so incredible, and she is a real competitor. I’m super excited for all the things that she’s already accomplished in her few weeks as a pro and very excited to see what’s in the future for her,” Michelle Wie West said about Zhang.

If she’s able to handle the pressure of such a claim, she could mature into a consistent winning player.

Consecutive Titles for Corpuz

It’s rare to see a U.S. Open champion paying +2800 to win a week later, but Allisen Corpuz has no friends at the book.

The American won in fine style when beating the likes of Zhang last week, and if she didn’t party too hard, she could win again.

She showed excellent composure to win at Pebble Beach, which holds her in good stead. She was clutch down the stretch, and we expect her odds to shorten throughout the week.

Her Dana Open odds could firm to around +2400 come Thursday.
