Value with Masters Props Betting Odds

Augusta National is in Peak Condition

It’s a golfing dream as the 2023 Masters tees off this week, and the Masters props betting odds have been released.

There is a plethora of golf odds this week, including Top LIV Golfer, Hole in One, Top Amateur, and many more.

We look at the best prop bets for the Masters, which headlines the 2023 major golf events.

Niemann Leads LIV Golfers

Say what you want about the LIV Tour; it has added a lot of intrigue and potential drama at Augusta.

Bettors can bet on which LIV golfer will be top this week, and our money is on Joaquin Niemann, who is a confident young golfer.

The Chilean isn’t favored to win behind the likes of Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, and Brooks Koepka. However, the 24-year-old made the cut in 2021 and 2022, so he has good memories of Augusta National.

Beating Smith and Johnson won’t be easy, especially given their world ranking before going to LIV, but there is excellent value with Masters props betting odds with Niemann.

Take the +1100 for him to beat the 17 other competitors.

Sargent Headlines Amateurs

One of the best things about The Masters is the amateur golfers, who all qualified by winning various tournaments.

Some amateurs have made it to the weekend with a good score, which we think could be the case for Gordon Sargent, who is the current +200 favorite to be awarded best amateur golfer.

The Vanderbilt sophomore received a special exemption into the tournament, for the first time since Aaron Baddeley in 2000. The world number one amateur appreciated the invite.

“I didn’t recognize the number but it said ‘Augusta National’ under the phone number, so I was like, ‘I have to answer this,’” said Sargent.

“It shows that they think you can compete with the best in the world, and I am … looking forward to testing my game at that level.”

The 19-year-old won The Hayt earlier this year, which was followed by some solid finishes in big tournaments. He is the NCAA D1 Championship strokeplay winner, so he’s good enough to beat some of the best in the amateur ranks.

Getting +200 is a fair price, and he only needs to contend with having the spotlight on him. He goes into calculations as a value Masters props betting odds pick.

Hole-in-One?

There have been 34 hole-in-ones recorded at The Masters. The most recent came last year when Stewart Cink made it clink on No. 16.

In the last three years, there have been three hole-in-ones, which leads us to believe there will be another recorded in 2023.

The most recent golfers were Cink, Corey Connors, and Tommy Fleetwood. Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas also had one in 2019, so there are becoming more frequent.

Masters props betting odds have a hole-in-one at -235. That’s about as low as you’ll see for a golf tournament, but the 16th has been playing easy. We expect at least one golfer to draw one back into the left-hand pin for the ace.

Scheffler Wire-to-Wire

We expect Scottie Scheffler to start well in his Masters defense, so he’s our top pick for first round leader.

The American often gets off to a good start on Thursday, so the +1400 available at the sportsbook is worth entertaining.

He has been in scintillating form in 2023, including wins at The Players and the WM Phoenix Open. He loves playing at this time of the year, so he could lead the field on Thursday and never look back.

He’s on the same line as Rory McIlroy, who has been playing dreadfully in the early stages of tournaments, so Scheffler is the much better betting option.

Koepka to Miss Cut

Brooks Koepka is probably still riding a high following his LIV Tour win, but we don’t think he’ll play well at Augusta.

The four-time major winner hasn’t shown much consistency, and he often plays worse than there is negative attention on him.

We expect the crowds to be negative towards most of the LIV players, especially someone as polarizing as Koepka.

Bettors get +250 with Masters props betting odds, so that’s worth taking.
