ATP Laver Cup Odds: Rune, Tsitsipas Withdrawals Impact Team Europe’s Title.

American-Laden Team World Squad Looks to Make it Back-to-Back Laver Cup Titles

Many of the Top Players Have Chosen to Skip This Weekend’s Laver Cup

The tennis world is going to let golfers have all the fun and that is why the Laver Cup, which is the men’s tennis version of golf’s Ryder Cup, has grown in popularity. When looking at the ATP Laver Cup odds, there isn’t much to separate Team World and Team Europe.

The event comes a couple of weeks after the conclusion of the US Open when the pressure of playing on the ATP tour on a weekly basis tends to subside.

The event will run from Friday-Sunday in Vancouver and it will be played on the hard courts at Rogers Arena.

When looking at the tennis predictions, Team World is priced at -115 with Team Europe coming in at -125.

A Look At Team Europe

The two top ranked players (Holger Rune and Stefanos Tsitsipas) for Team Europe withdrew leaving Casper Ruud as the only top-10 player in the ATP rankings remaining for Team Europe. Keep that in mind when looking at the ATP Laver Cup Odds.

He is joined by Hubert Hurkacz, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Gael Monfils and Arthur Fils.

Monfils is the player on this team with the most experience at previous Laver Cups.

A Look At Team World

Americans Fritz, Tiafoe, Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton headline this team with Shelton not far removed from a strong showing at the US Open. It will make for some interesting lineups to ponder when it comes to the ATP Laver Cup Odds.

Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime is no stranger to playing in the Laver Cup with Francisco Cerundolo also on the squad.

Christopher Eubanks and Milos Raonic are alternates.

A History Lesson

The first Laver Cup was held in 2017 with Team Europe, featuring No. 1 ranked Rafael Nadal, No. 2 Roger Federer, No. 4 Alexander Zverev and No. 5 Marin Cilic, topped Team World 15-9.

Team World included Americans Sam Querrey, John Isner, Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe.

Team Europe won the first four Laver Cups (there was no event in 2020 due to the global pandemic) before Team World won in 2022.

When it comes to the tennis news, the most unforgettable moment was Nadal and Federer playing doubles in Federer’s final match before his retirement.

Taylor Fritz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Diego Schwartzman, Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur and Sock were the members of the winning team.
