New York Jets

The  New York Jets were founded in 1959, playing their inaugural seasons in 1960 as the New York Titans. The team started in the AFL before merging over into the NFL in 1970. However, before the merger, the two football leagues would face-off, and the Jets were the first AFL team to defeat an NFL team in 1968. The Jets have not been to a Super Bowl since winning it in 1968. The Jets have the longest Super Bowl drought outside of teams who have never made it to the Super Bowl.

The Jets team stats reflect the team’s lack of championships, as they have had constant quarterback turnover since Joe Namath, who was the winning quarterback in Super Bowl III. The Jets would get close in back-to-back years in 2009 and 2010, making it to the AFC Championship game. Those New York Jets team stats focused on defense, led by cornerback Darrelle Revis.
