Prime Opens Operations in New Jersey

Prime Sports Also Operates in Ohio

The Prime Sports sportsbook is up and running in New Jersey. The company had a soft launch on March 31 and is now at full strength. New Jersey regulations limited the number of hours Prime Sports could operate its first few days. There was not a huge promotional campaign as that is not Prime’s style.

When Prime opens operations in a new state, it will simply open and post on social media. But that’s about it. Prime Sports spent less than $1,000 in promotions in Ohio during February.

That was the least amount of any sportsbook in the state. DraftKings spent over $10 million in the same month.

Prime Sports patterns itself after Circa Sports in Las Vegas or Pinnacle Sports. The company aims to offer low-vig bets and encourage sharp bettors to take their sports gambling there. Prime Sports takes great pride in letting every bettor play the limit on each wager they make. They won’t close the accounts or limit the bet size of winning bettors.

“If you’re betting offshore because you can’t get decent limits on your bets, or you’ve been turned away by US-licensed sportsbooks, come give us a shot @primesportsbook,” Prime Sports executive chairman Joe Brennan Jr. wrote on social media. “Everyone can bet the max amount on any market, and we won’t close your account if you win. Guaranteed.”

Brennan and partner Adam Bjorn have plenty of experience in the sports betting industry. Bjorn spent time with Olympic Sports (The Greek) and BetCRIS. Brennan was also co-founder of SportAD (Sport Analytics & Data Corp), a betting and fantasy sports company. Before that, Brennan was director of IMEGA, where he helped draft New Jersey’s constitutional amendment to permit legal sports betting.

A Different Approach to Sports Betting

When Prime opens operations somewhere new, it relies on word of mouth to get the word out. Those who bet online could take to its ‘winners welcomed’ message. By not limiting the bet size of winning bettors, it hopes to attract different players.

Prime Sports targets those who continue to bet offshore or with local bookies. The betting trends show many would like to wager in a legal market. However, many have also been off-put by stories of winning bettors being severely limited in their betting size.

While most sportsbooks frown upon betting syndicates and arbitrage bettors, Prime Sports welcomes them. Brennan asked bettors on social media to send screenshots of arbitrage numbers so they could spotlight the “Arb of the Day.”

Brennan also has told bettors to check odds at Prime Sports against several different betting exchanges consistently to find ‘can’t lose’ betting propositions. He has mentioned on social media several times in the past week the benefits of shopping for the best line. Over the long haul, it can be the difference between winning and losing.

Prime opens operations in Kentucky shortly and will look to give residents of the Bluegrass State the same benefits.
