A Precession for Succession: Emmy Awards Predictions

The Glitz and Glamour of Hollywood

It’s all about Succession at the Emmy Awards, and our Emmy Awards predictions look at the best bets for the January 14 show.

The latest entertainment news looked at the Golden Globes, which are always a telling sign for the Emmys.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Succession, Beef, and The Bear are the shows tipped to win consistently throughout the night.

Drama Goes to Succession

The hype around Succession is real, and although it’s listed as a comedic drama, it enters the drama category.

After winning major awards at the Golden Globes on Monday, the show is expected to win Best Drama by a fair margin.

Current nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Drama include The White Lotus, The Last of Us, and Better Call Saul, among others, so it’s a strong list.

However, Succession is a -2000 chance at the sportsbook to win, so bettors must take notice of the odds.

We can’t see how it gets beaten, and although the odds are short, it’s worth including in entertainment betting parlays.

Succession Actors Taking it Home

To go along with the success of Succession, we expect lead actor and actress Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook to respectively win Best Actor and Best Actress in a drama.

Culkin has emerged behind the shadow of his troubled brother to become an A-list TV actor, and he’s brilliant in Succession.

He’s a -160 chance to win the honor, but there is some firm competition from the likes of castmate Jeremy Strong (+300), and Bob Odenkirk (+275), who is always great in Better Call Saul.

Our Emmy Awards predictions expect to see Culkin win at -160, and Snook is even shorter in betting. She’s a -1200 hope to win Best Actress, and the award is hers for the taking.

We can’t see her being beaten by New Zealand actress Melanie Lynskey for Yellowjackets or Bella Ramsey for The Last of Us, so include her in your picks.

Ted Lasso Still Going Strong

It feels like Ted Lasso has been on the screens for a long time, and every time it’s nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, it wins.

The sports-based comedy/drama is only in its third season, but it has been a staple must-watch show since it started in 2020.

Jason Sudeikis plays the title character well, and he’s also nominated for Best Actor in a comedy, where he is a +350 chance behind -1000 favorite Jeremy Allen White.

Ted Lasso is a surprising -200 favorite, but we’re not shocked. It’s a favorite with the judging panel, as it looks to beat new comedy The Bear and Abbott Elementary.

Based on the other nominees, we expect Ted Lasso to keep winning awards.

Ortega Represents Value

Netflix comedy Wednesday wasn’t for everyone, but we thought Jenna Ortega played the title character beautifully.

Adding your own spin on an already famous Addams’ Family character isn’t easy to do, but we think she’s one of the best to do it.

Wednesday was a highly entertaining show, and although it appealed more to a younger teenage audience, Ortega deserves plenty of credit.

She showed a range of emotions as Wednesday, a troubled child sent to a boarding school full of weird and wacky characters.

Ortega is a +500 chance and one of our best value Emmy Awards predictions. She could add her name to the list of Emmy Award winners, but she needs to beat a good list of nominees.

The -300 favorite is Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary, but Ortega could score an upset.
