Fight Odds Favor Zuckerberg and Then Some

There could literally be a brawl between two of the world’s most popular billionaires. SpaceX and Tesla CEO (among others) Elon Musk and Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg are being pushed to do a cage fight. It’s actually true, and the Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg fight odds are all over the sportsbook, which are all bettable.

The W5H of This Billion-Dollar Fight

What could be bigger than a fight between the most prominent tech billionaires? Elon Musk’s net worth is around $256 billion, which makes him the world’s richest man. But “Zuck” is no slouch, either. Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth is $110 billion, which places him seventh. This bout could just outsell the Mayweather-Pacquiao boxing fight. And like many UFC fights, this began on Musk’s new toy, Twitter.

After it was revealed that Zuckerberg would start Threads, Meta’s rival Twitter app, Musk tweeted: “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb” then followed with “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”

Zuckerberg, not one to turn down a challenge, said on Instagram: “Send me location,” along with a screenshot of Musk’s message. To this, Musk then said, “Vegas Octagon”, which likely refers to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where the UFC holds most of its pay-per-view events in the city. The arena is favored by the Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg fight odds at -150.

UFC President Dana White even got involved and told TMZ Live, “Both guys are absolutely dead serious about this.” He also claims to have spoken to both men about making it official. White also adds that it would likely be an exhibition match with some kind of charity element.

Of course, it gets crazier than this as rumors circulated that the 2000-year-old Roman amphitheater (+140) was a possible location. Musk even tweeted “Some chance fight happens in the Colosseum.” The Italian government did shut this rumor down.

The Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg fight odds moderately favor the younger Zuckerberg in this at -300. The comeback on Musk is at +200. Both have their respective advantages and disadvantages. But Zuckerberg is the rightful favorite even if he is a few weight divisions smaller.

For one, Zuckerberg is far better trained at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu than Musk. The 39-year-old won a gold and silver medal in his first tournament. He’s also been training with UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski. On top of that, Zuckerberg is physically fit and appears “jacked” in some of his recent photos.

Musk, on the other hand, trained in judo and karate way back then. But what he lacks in skills he may make up for with size. The South African is 6’1” and reportedly weighs between 185 and 200 pounds. This would put him at middleweight in most MMA divisions. Zuckerberg, on the other hand, is 5’7” versus Zuckerberg is 5’7” and 155 pounds. He’s a lightweight by MMA standards.

The fight odds also expect this one to not last more than 4.5 rounds at -140. This can only mean that Zuckerberg will beat Musk to a submission, which is the favored method of victory at +160. Either way, this one won’t need judges and is expected to be finished at -200.

What’s at Stake?

In one word: pride. Neither man really needs the extra coin they will make from this fight. And both have given to charity to the point they forget. So what’s on the line will be each other’s bragging rights. Even if Musk outweighs Zuckerberg in terms of their net worth, Zuck can always say he beat up Musk in front of millions.

And if Zuckerberg does do that, Meta’s stock price is expected to trend higher at -150. Of course, a loss doesn’t also mean Tesla’s stock price will fall. In fact, it’s favored at -135 to go up.
