Last season, Emerson Royal and Son Heung-min scored as Tottenham defeated West Ham 2-0 at home. In the reverse fixture, these sides drew 1-1. Tottenham Avoid Fourth Straight Defeat

On Sunday, Tottenham were minutes away from a fourth straight loss after scoring the first goal in each Premier League match. A late Dejan Kulusevski header equalized the match at three as Spurs came away with a point. Son Heung-min’s work rate in the match was absurdly high and he scored Tottenham’s first goal.

Unfortunately, Son also scored an own goal but Spurs never gave up. Tottenham did look vulnerable in possession, as they couldn’t handle Man City’s press but it was a good result overall.

Now, the Tottenham standings show that they’re in fifth place. Should Aston Villa lose to Manchester City on Wednesday and Tottenham win on Thursday, Spurs will re-enter the top four. However, a bunch of Tottenham players are out for this midweek match. Rodrigo Bentancur, James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon are all expected to miss out. Meanwhile, Pape Sarr is questionable for Thursday.

Ange Postecoglou will be happy to get Cristian Romero back from suspension. On Sunday, Big Ange trotted out a makeshift backline with Ben Davies and Emerson Royal at center back. Spurs have conceded 11 goals in their last four games and they haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last five.

West Ham’s Kudus Showing His Potential

Defending UEFA Europa Conference League champions West Ham are now unbeaten in their last three Premier League games. The Hammers took the lead vs Crystal Palace on Sunday as Mohammed Kudus scored his third EPL goal of the season.

Kudus also scored a second that was called back for an interference offside. Odsonne Edouard equalized for Palace after a Dinos Mavropanos mistake in a match that finished 1-1.

The Hammers have won two of their last three games but haven’t beaten a top ten team since August. Currently, West Ham are in ninth place in the league. The Premier League betting lines list them as +1200 dark horses to finish in the top six. Although their form has been up and down in the Premier League, David Moyes guided West Ham through to the Europa League knockout stage.

West Ham striker Michail Antonio is out injured for Thursday’s match. Danny Ings is a natural replacement but Moyes has decided to play Jarrod Bowen, who’s usually a winger, up front. Bowen leads West Ham, with eight Premier League goals, which ranks fourth in the league. West Ham have both scored and conceded 1.7 goals per game this season.

Match Analysis & Odds

Although they’re winless in their last five games, Tottenham are -130 favorites for Thursday’s match vs West Ham. Meanwhile, visitors West Ham are +300 underdogs and haven’t won at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since 2019. Bettors can also take Tottenham -0.5, -1 at -105 and West Ham +0.5, +1 at -115. A draw shows +320 odds in a match Spurs will be expecting to get a win in.

Tottenham vs West Ham betting tips note that the home team is unbeaten in the last seven matches of this fixture. We’d recommend taking a look at Son Heung-Min to take at least three shots at -130 odds. He’s Tottenham’s biggest threat and was on the scoresheet at Man City. Both EPL teams to score at -200 odds is an intriguing pick, given how unstable Tottenham’s backline has been as of late.

Under 3, 3.5 goals sit at -120 odds but it wouldn’t be surprising to see this one turn into a shootout. Tottenham play a high-risk, high-reward game, which includes inviting pressure to try to open up passing lanes. Moyes could decide to set up West Ham deeper defensively, though, which would limit opportunities.
