What an incredible weekend of DOTA2 action! The Berlin Major group stage officially finished yesterday; with it, we have the 12 teams who will compete in the Berlin Major playoffs Odds. Eight of the remaining 12 teams have been seeded into the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the other four have been seeded into the lower bracket.

The Berlin Major playoffs start today, May 1st, and go until the Grand Final on May 7th. There’s a lot to get to, so let’s dive right in!

Group Stage Overview

Team Liquid, 9 Pandas, and PSG.LGD became the last three teams to secure an upper-bracket place in the Berlin Major Playoffs Odds.

They join Lima Major champions Gaimin Gladiators, The International 11 (TI11) champions Tundra Esports, OG, TI10 champions Team Spirit, and Shopify Rebellion, who all locked up their spots the previous day.

Meanwhile, Evil Geniuses, Talon Esports, Team Aster, and Xtreme Gaming also secured their Berlin Major Playoff spots but will have to start from the lower bracket.

BetBoom Team, Beastcoast, and Team SMG were also eliminated from the tournament. Team SMG and BetBoom were expected to be the first eliminated, but many thought Beastcoast would challenge for a little more!

The Berlin Major Playoffs will feature the best of the best on the newest DOTA2 Patch, 7.33, which has revolutionized and rejuvenated the game. As we head towards the Grand Finals, we could see some incredible high-class Dota 2, making it a must-watch for any fan who wants to bet on esports.

Berlin Major Playoff Best Bets

Out of the 12 remaining teams, half of them have some rough esports betting odds. After you get past the top six teams, there is a significant drop-off. However, there are three teams esports bettors should watch heading into the tournament. Those three teams are PSG.LGD, Team Spirit, and Evil Geniuses.

PSG.LGD

PSG.LGD is one of, if not the best, teams from China. However, it took them until the final day to make it to the upper bracket in the playoffs. While Group A was the easier of the two, PSG did what they needed to make it in. PSG takes on Tundrea Esports in the first round. It won’t be easy, but they can find a way through. They could be a dark horse throughout the Berlin Major Playoffs.

Team Spirit

The winner of The International 10, Team Spirit, is one of the teams to watch in the Berlin Major Playoffs. The Russian DOTA2 team has yet to lose a match in this tournament—they are one of five undefeated teams going into the playoffs. Therefore, the former best team in the world will hope to climb the ladder again after falling from grace. They take on OG in the first round. In a matchup that could go either way, our money is on Team Spirit.

Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses is arguably one of the best teams in the entire tournament. However, they have been disappointing in the Berlin Major so far. They barely made it through to the lower bracket by a tie-breaker with BetBoom Team and Team Aster. Next, they will face the loser of Shopify Rebellion and 9 Pandas. EG should win regardless of who they meet, so we expect them to make a run from the lower.
