The International 11 Odds and Preview
With The International 11 teams all set after their respective qualifier, the Group Stage can finally begin! Dota 2 fans have been waiting for the main event to start all year, and the hype is growing weekly. So will your favorite team win the trophy, or will someone new unexpectedly take the crown?
The International 11 Schedule
The group stage of The International 11 will begin on October 15, with 20 teams fighting it out for 16 spots in the playoffs. After that, however, the real action will unfold in the finals, where the last four teams will battle it out to lift the Aegis of Champions.

Qualified Teams
There are three ways to qualify for The International 11. The best way is through the Dota Pro Circuit and winning their regional tournament. The second is from the Last Chance Qualifiers. Be sure to check out the Dota 2 schedule here.

Tournament Format
The format for The International 11 is different than previous tournaments. The qualified teams will compete without a crowd. The Group Stage takes place from October 15th-18th. The bottom two teams from each group will be eliminated.
The 20 qualified teams will compete for the Aegis of Champions during the Group Stage, including 12 teams that qualified through DPC, six that qualified via regional competitions, and two that will proceed from the Last Chance Qualifiers.
This year, Valve will split the twenty squads into groups of ten each, with each group playing its opponents once. The top four teams from each group advance to the Upper Bracket of the Main Even. All games are played as a BO2. The remaining four teams will place into the Lower Bracket.
Prize Pool
The biggest prize was last year’s International 10 since it reached $40 million. The International 11 has earned $13,220,830, not even close to that mark.
In-game cosmetics, features, and participation in fantasy tournaments are all sold by Valve, with a percentage of the proceeds going to The International 11 prize fund and the team expenses. Due to this, they have been able to generate significant funds and profit greatly in the process. As a result, the Dota 2 community perceives expanding the event’s prize fund as both a need and a source of pride.

Runners-up of The International 2021, PSG.LGD has slowly revved up. They won the Riyadh Masters, where they inflicted some revenge on Team Spirit, and finished runners-up at the PGL Arlington Major.
Yet, for everything they have done over the past year, their loss to Team Spirit in last year’s International final continues to be a significant talking point. A healthy rivalry has developed, and perhaps a new chapter is waiting to be written. If there’s one team that knows how to turn the tide from the depths of despair, it’s PSG.LGD. They have the experience and pedigree to turn a corner from impossible situations. Unfortunately, this invariably puts their opponents under as much pressure, even if they may be on top.
Team Spirit (+350)
Team Spirit is looking to replicate their epic run to the title last year, one of the best in the game’s history. To have bounced back from losing four games in the group stage and then make a run from the lower bracket was the stuff every team dreams about. They then won 10 of their next 12 games to take the title.
There’s absolute confidence in Team Spirit, something they exuded when they faced PSG.LGD with the pressure firmly on them in the final for a second straight time at TI10. Eventually, they overcame the betting on 2022 dota 2 to win.
Their game was marked by their propensity to take more risks and try to catch opponents off guard with plans made and executed on the fly. It’s something they have managed to do wonderfully so far, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t continue to do so in the future.
Best Bet
Entity (+1300)
Entity are in great form heading into this tournament and have odds of +1300 heading into this. The International 11 is an entirely different ball game from what happens in Europe, but you could see them making it to the latter stages this time. That would be a significant achievement for the team’s progression.
However, winning it all requires something a little more. They were undoubtedly the top side in the WEU qualifiers. Still, many circumstances helped them become a dominant force, like technical issues, server problems, and long waits that affected the other teams. As a result, Entity might force themselves into the conversation of who will win Dota 2 TI11.
