VCT 2023 Qualifiers: Last Chance for Teams
After watching Fnatic win the VCT Masters Tokyo, fans focus on the last chance for VCT 2023 qualifiers. Teams at these qualifiers will fight for a place at the Valorant Champions later this year.
The Valorant Champions is the season-ending tournament that will take place in Los Angeles, marking the first time that North America receives an international Valorant event.
Nine of the 16 available spots have already been filled by the top Valorant ranks teams from the VCT leagues in the Americas, EMEA, and the Pacific. In each region, there will be a last-chance VCT 2023 qualifier, where the remaining teams will duke it out for a spot at Valorant Champions.
Thanks to their heroics at Masters Tokyo, Fnatic gave the EMEA an extra spot at Valorant Champions – meaning that one of these qualifiers will have two places on the line.
Here is everything you need to know about every region’s last-chance VCT 2023 qualifiers.
Participating VCT 2023 Qualifiers Teams
Here are all the Valorant teams competing in the VCT 2023 qualifiers from each region, along with their esports odds to qualify for Valorant Champions!
Pacific
This VCT 2023 qualifier will occur from July 15th to 23rd in Seoul.

China
This is currently taking place starting July 3rd to 16th as a mixed online and offline event in China. The odds for the competing Chinese teams are not available.

Operating independently of the international VCT circuit, the top three teams from this VCT 2023 qualifier will represent China at the Valorant Champions 2023.
VCT 2023 Qualifier Format
Mostly, every region will have a similar format for the VCT 2023 qualifiers. However, there are still some differences between the four leagues. Listed below is the format for each region!
Pacific
The event has a hybrid playoff format. The tournament’s first round and upper bracket quarterfinal will be single elimination.
Once the tournament reaches the upper-bracket semifinals, the playoffs will be played in a double-elimination format. The seedings of the LCQ are based on the Pacific League esports regular season standings.
The 4th and 5th place teams will begin their run in the upper bracket semifinals. Teams that finished 6th, 7th, and 8th will start in the upper bracket quarterfinal. The 9th and 10th place teams will play in the first round of the upper bracket.
EMEA/Americas
The VCT 2023 qualifiers will follow a 6-team Hybrid elimination format. In this format, the teams seeded 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th will compete in Single Elimination Quarter Finals. The top two seeded teams will receive a “def-win” and advance directly to the Upper Bracket Semifinals. The qualified teams will play in the semifinals in a double-elimination format.
The Lower Bracket Final and Upper Bracket Final games will be Best of Five. Since two teams secure slots, there won’t be a need for a Grand Finals match. The Upper and Lower bracket finals winners will proceed directly to Los Angeles.
China
The participating teams consist of two types of qualifiers:
- Invited Teams
- Preliminary Stage Teams
The top 2 teams from each act (Act 1 and Act 2) receive direct invitations and compete in the Upper Bracket.
The Knockout Rounds feature Bo3 Single Elimination matches among the preliminary teams. The winners from the Knockout Rounds then face the Direct Invite teams in the Upper Bracket. The subsequent matches are Double Elimination Bo3, leading up to the Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket finals, which are Best of Five.
