Scheffler Seeks Overdue Win at Arnold Palmer
2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational Odds
Scottie Scheffler is ranked the best player in the world, and it’s about time he showed why.
2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational odds have him favored to win at +650, just in front of Rory McIlroy at +850.
There aren’t too many in-form players in the field at Bay Hill this week, but that means value odds for bettors.
Time to Strike
We’ll say it till we’re blue in the face. Scottie Scheffler has yet to win on the PGA Tour outside February, March, and April.
Therefore, the 27-year-old is overdue a March win, especially with the Players Championship and The Masters approaching.
He would love to get his confidence levels up in preparation for those tournaments, and he hasn’t been too far away in 2024.
He comes off a T10 finish at the Genesis Open, which followed a T3 finish at the Phoenix Open. However, being unable to win a PGA Tour tournament since last April is concerning.
It’s not often the best player in the world goes on an 11-month winless drought, and we’re not including the Hero Challenge, which is a limited field and not a sanctioned event.
Our golf betting tips have Scheffler on top at +650, and we would love to see him near the top of the leaderboard on Thursday.
Spieth Poised to Pounce
Jordan Spieth finished in the top five at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational, and he could improve on that effort.
The American knows the course well, and he’s another player who has been threatening to win a golf tournament.
Much like Scheffler, he wants to find form leading into the big tournaments. That’s not to say this signature event isn’t big because the prize purse significantly increased in the off-season.
Spieth is a +2000 chance with 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational odds, and that’s good shopping. He represents value, and we expect to see him near the top of the PGA leaderboard on Sunday afternoon.
Pressure on Knapp
There has been a lot of talk about Jake Knapp, but now the pressure goes on.
Credit the young player for winning the Mexico Championship, but he beat a field akin to what you’d see on the Korn Ferry Tour.
However, despite facing a moderate field again last week, he only managed a T31 finish at the Cognizant Championship.
Some critics say he’s the next big thing, and the jury is definitely out on that, but we’re prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.
His length should see him go close on the odd occasion, and despite facing some of the world’s best players this week, his golf odds are +6600 is too good to pass up.
The 29-year-old isn’t a youngster. He has experience playing on the Korn Ferry Tour, and now, as a PGA Tour winner, he could kick on with it.
Bounce Back for Clark
There is no love with the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational odds for Wyndham Clark.
His last two tournaments haven’t been anything special, but he looked good winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in early February.
The 30-year-old has had a career resurgence, kicking off with a 2023 Wells Fargo Championship win that was followed by winning the 2023 U.S. Open.
Having a major under his belt can’t be said for most of the field, but bettors get +5000. That’s a great price for someone with his big tournament experience.
Clark might be going under the radar after missing the cut at the Genesis, but don’t sleep on the underrated golfer. He has enough belief in himself to bounce back and win his fourth PGA Tour title.
