NBA Monday Matchup Odds: West’s Hottest Teams Collide

Lakers, Nuggets Headline Big Day

Streaking Lakers Head to Denver

The LA Lakers will take their five-game win streak to Ball Arena as they face off with the number one team in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets. Let’s take a look at the NBA Monday matchup odds from the full slate of games.

The Nuggets officially own the number one rated offense in the NBA as they continue to assert themselves as the team to beat in the West. The home side have opened as 9.0-point favorites against a Lakers team that is both 5-0 straight up and against-the-spread (ATS) in their last five outings.

Despite their recent resurgence the Lakers defense remains problematic to say the least, with the NBA team giving up 118.6 points per game in their last five games.

The full game total has been set at 240.5 points and the market continues to shade this in favor of the Over. The Lakers do lead the season series 2-1 and have held the Nuggets to just 105.7 points per game.

Denver is likely to be at full strength, with none of their rotation NBA players listed on the injury report. The Lakers are still without Anthony Davis, while Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker will also miss this game.

Celtics, Bucks Both in Action in the East

Two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference will also be in action, with the Boston Celtics playing host to the Chicago Bulls while the Milwaukee Bucks travel to New York to take on the Knicks.

The Celtics opened as 8.0-point favorites at home to Chicago and were quickly bet up to -8.5 across the board. Marcus Smart is listed as questionable for the home side, while the Bulls also have Alex Caruso and Javonte Green questionable on their NBA injury report.

The Bulls interestingly lead the season series 2-1 with the top team in the NBA, averaging 120.0 points per game in the process. The full game total for this game is set at 237.0 points and was also bet up after opening at 235.5 points in most places.

‘The Bucks will try to bounce back from their worst performance of the season as they head to Madison Square Garden.’

The road teams are 2.0-point favorites in this one and have won both meetings between the teams this season, including a 109-103 win in this arena last month.

RJ Barrett is still doubtful to return for the Knicks, while Milwaukee will again be without Khris Middleton. The total in this game has been set at 222.0 points.

Kings, Wizards Host Non-Conference Action

The Washington Wizards have opened as 1.5-point favorites at home to the New Orleans Pelicans, who will be without their All-Star duo Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

The home side will continue to be without Bradley Beal and their performances continue to be inconsistent without him. The full game total has been set at 228.5 points and has received early market support towards the Over despite the big name scorers absent on both teams.

The Orlando Magic continue their West coast road trip as they head to Sacramento to take on a Kings team that is reeling after a controversial loss to the Lakers last game.

De’Aaron Fox took to Twitter to vent his frustration at late game officiating, but the Kings guard has since deleted his post. The Kings opened as 6.0-point favorites in this one and were quickly bet up to -6.5 in most places.

‘The Magic are 9-5-1 (64.3%) ATS against Western Conference opponents this season and are coming off an outright win as 6.5-point underdogs at Golden State last time out. The total for this one has been set at 239.5 points.’

The Memphis Grizzlies will play their second game of a back-to-back at home to the San Antonio Spurs in the other NBA game scheduled for tonight..

Fresh off a 123-118 win at home to the Utah Jazz, Memphis will hope to get Ja Morant and Steven Adams back in the rotation with both starters sitting out last night.

The Grizzlies were 124-122 OT winners the last time these two teams met and have now won seven straight regular season meetings with the Spurs. Memphis covered the spread in both home meetings last season as well.
