Trail Blazers vs Warriors Odds: Golden State Growing in Confidence
Young Warriors Finding Their Feet

Blazers Look to Halt Streaking Warriors
The Golden State Warriors will look to make it four straight wins when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers at the Chase Center. Here’s a look at our Trail Blazers vs Warriors Odds preview as we analyze how both teams basketball match up.
The Warriors have a new-found swagger about them as they look to stay afloat in the absence of Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins. Neither All-Star will be back for this one but the team is getting important contributions from their role basketball players.
Meanwhile, the Blazers bounced back from their mini-skid by taking care of business at home to the Hornets. The team has lost four of their last five road games and will look to get back to their best on both ends of the floor in this one.
The Blazers have opened as 2.0-point favorites for this one with the total being set at 231.0 points. Both these teams should expect to improve on current 2023 NBA standings, but how will they fare in this one?

Positive Vibes in Bay Area
After getting blown out on back-to-back nights in New York to the Knicks and Nets respectively, things were nearing rock bottom for a team that is only months removed from winning a championship.
Curry’s injury was thought to doom this team to a point of no return on the season, but that all seems an afterthought as the team responded in a big way on Christmas Day against the Grizzlies. Two more wins since then and the mood around the short-term future of the franchise is very different to the one that lurked when their Finals MVP hero went down with a shoulder injury.
Their defense has returned to being the backbone of their nightly performances over this stretch, with the team ranking 1st in points per possession allowed and 2nd in opponent effective field goal percentage. They’re also 4th in opponent offensive rebounding percentage, which has been a big part of limiting the second chance opportunities teams were producing earlier in the month.
A lot of that has come from their commitment to running nba teams off the perimeter and blowing up plays before teams can get through their sets. Replicating that effort and success against the Blazers backcourt will be crucial if they’re to continue their win streak, but they also understand they need to do more on offense going forward.
Rested Blazers Look to Snap Road Funk
The Blazers come into this game off three days rest and should have a feel good factor back around camp after a comfortable win over the Hornets.
Portland’s offense finally looked back to its best and they’ll be hoping to restore the efficiency they’ve shown on that end of the floor this NBA season on their travels.
Despite averaging just 108.6 points per game during their recent five-game road trip the team still ranks 4th in offensive efficiency on the road since the start of December. They’re currently 10-10 straight up on their travels for the season while ranking in the top-10 in points per possession and effective field goal percentage.
“So far this season, the Blazers are 4-2 against-the-spread when playing with a rest advantage. Meanwhile, the Warriors are 2-8 straight up and 4-6 ATS when playing with a rest disadvantage.”
This line seems short for Portland on the back of some overreactions to the Warriors recent resurgence. The reality is that the team is still flawed with the guys they have out and should come back down to earth when dealing with a team that has the scoring power that Portland does with their backcourt.
We shouldn’t see any surprises with NBA injuries today – Jusuf Nurkic is probable and should play, while the Warriors will likely have the same rotation they’ve had for the past week.
